Le Vialar is a sympathetically renovated farmhouse which is ideal for family holidays; it has six bedrooms and six bathrooms all ensuite. All beds have quality linens and mattress toppers. All bedrooms have wardrobes, dressing table, drawers and full length mirrors. A change of linen is supplied weekly. The bathrooms have plenty of towels and bathrobes, All the bedrooms have tea making facilities and hairdryers and are situated on the first floor. A baby cot is available.
A large, exceedingly well equipped family kitchen, opening onto a covered outdoor eating area with a table to seat fourteen. A high bar table with seating for four, which is also ideal for drinks and aperos. Weber BBQ and plancher, also outdoor cutlery. A babies high chair and childs tall chair supplied
An American fridge, two oven range, microwave, dishwasher, airfryer and many more appliances for the enthusiastic cook. A large pantry/second kitchen with more pots and pans; and an ice-cream maker is just one of the many quality appliances on the work surface and left out for easy use.
The laundry has a washing machine, dryer, second fridge and also a wine fridge; large sink.
Two sitting rooms, one with freeview television. It is attractively furnished and adjoins a double bedroom. It has a large sliding door onto the upper terrace. The ground floor sitting room has a television with freeview tv and wifi.. This has ample seating with a large sofa bed. It also opens onto a lower terrace through double doors. This covered terrace has an outdoor sofa and armchairs with two coffee tables.
The attractive dining room seats fourteen.

Fully fenced ( AFNOR approved ) large swimming pool with childproof gate. The pool has a deep end and a shallower end for playing ball games etc. Pool house with a toilet and washbasin. There are plenty of sunbeds and pool towels.

Le Vialar is set in an acre of fenced garden which is mainly grass and excellent for games of football, cricket etc. and is surrounded by woods and fields. There is an organic vegetable and herb garden for the visitors to use. Automatic watering fof the garden and most of the flower pots. Fruit from the trees when in season.
It is a three minute drive to the village of Cadalen with a small supermarket, pharmacy, doctors, post office and boulangerie. The market town of Gaillac with bars, restaurants and supermarkets is a ten minute drive.
Several minutes from the autoroute junction gives easy access to the city of Toulouse. The City d'espace in Toulouse is worth a visit. Albi is a Unesco site, with a magnificent cathedral, museums, restaurants and shops. Toulouse airport is 45 minutes away. Carcassonne and Rodez are approximately 1hour 20minutes. The bastide towns of Carcassonne and Corde sur Ciel are interesting and also worth visiting.
Plenty of other activities in the area to keep you occupied including wine tasting at the many local vineyards.
A welcome pack with wine, soft drinks, home conserves and food for a simple meal on arrival. Oil, spices etc are for your use. Shopping can be arranged in advance to save you a supermarket visit. Bin liners, dishwasher tablets etc provided.

Gaillac is a small market town. Gaillac market on Friday is also a small market on Sunday mornings. Rabastens market on Saturday morning.Abli has an excellent indoor and outdoor market and an interesting flea market on Saturday morning. A Roman museum at Montans a ten minutes drive.

Albi is the birthplace of Toulouse Lautrec, there is a museum dedicated to his work.
Many music festivals throughout the summer in the villages and towns in the area.
Gaillac has a famous ` fête du vin` , the first week in August.

About the owner
Irene & Peter Stevenson. We have lived in France since January 1990. Ten years with a vineyard, farm and riding school. We also ran a successful B & B for eight years from the farm. We have been living at Le Vialar since April 2000 which has been renovated to a high standard.
