I would sorely love not to review Paul's and David's heavenly house with its divine views, beautiful and comfortable interiors, fantastic gardens, gorgeous pool, and wonderful owners, in order to selfishly try to keep it a secret... but not only would that defeat the purpose by putting P and D out of business, but previous reviewers have already spilled the beans. There were six of us and every one of us fell in love with the place, which deserves a lot more than 5 stars, not only because of its exceptional location, which makes one feel that one is surveying an entire benevolent, bucolic universe, but because its owners have imbued it with their own acute sense of beauty and their great humanity and generosity. I share the sentiments of the previous guests who said that they have stayed in many beautiful places, but none quite like this. It is luxurious and simple all at once, providing great comfort and utter beauty. One can spend the entire day watching the light change over the mountains, listening to the sheep bells, and birds, and the coocoo rooster at the farm down the road who thinks it's dawn every five minutes, sipping wine, dipping bread in Paul and David's olive oil, smelling the flowers... Do I sound nostalgic? We had some mediocre weather during part of our stay, but it didn't matter. We had a blast talking to Paul and David and a friend of theirs who was visiting. As already stated, they are extremely helpful - Paul is literally on call, answering every question promptly, bringing goodies, sharing stories --- we had such great laughs and really miss them. We also miss dear Gero (a four-legged purrer whose presence, I should add, is entirely optional - we loved him). I could go on, but really - the place is extraordinary, and our stay was perfect, except for one major flaw: it ended.
Thank you Paul and David, for sharing your paradiso - we have lots of pictures, and everyone who sees them wants to come with us next time!
Ciao till later and hugs from Nina, Bonny, JC, Flavia, Jeremy, and Sabina
