"I came from Canada where I spent more than 6 months between the cold and the snow, I discovered this gem of a city called Vilassar del Mar (20 km from Barcelona), its people are very very friendly, it is safe, quiet, you can visit a different beach every day by train (it is 1.1 km away from home), you can walk to the train and you can find several groceries stores , restaurants etc.The house is perfect for a family (even 2), since it has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a terrace for barbecues, the...

"We spent a week at this lovely property outside Barcelona. A wonderful space with antique furniture and fantastic outdoor areas (2). The place was very clean, the host was very thorough with check-in, and gave us tips for restaurants and taking the train into Barcelona. We had a rental car and worried about parking but it was nearby and cheap. The only two minor negatives were that there was no shower, just a tub, and the WiFi signal is fairly weak. This property allowed for racers to have their own room/bed. 4 full bathrooms with showers was great too. "Loved this home. It was quite a hassle to get help getting inside, and I stood outside for over an hour in the heat waiting. Eventually, the owner sent a neighboring friend to help who was extremely nice. Home is beautiful to see, but if you don’t speak Spanish, communication will be very difficult (obviously this is not a complaint, you’re staying in Spain after all!) I’d come again if not travelling alone. "

"Though brief we were close to many areas of Barcelona that made this a great location. You walk out the door and already in the small streets of the Gothic quarter which made it easy to try lots of the great food places. Place had everything we needed to rest and recoup from exploring the city."

"We were 6 couples staying for 5 nights and we were so pleased with the experience! The house itself is well maintained and immaculate! There was plenty of room for privacy and socializing. Each couple had their own bedroom with comfortable beds and their own bathroom. It was only a 15 min walk to catch the train and a beautiful beach is very close as well. "The appartment is a part of the main building where the owners family are living. This was a surprise but the family is very friendly and helpsom, although not quite fluent in english. The house location is by a quiet country road with forrest nearby and smaller villages. Not many good restaurants we could find. It would have been more enjoyable if there was more privacy. House was clean and tidy at arrival."
