"The property was in a good location and did have everything within local reach i.e. tavern, shops and a short drive to the railway station.Cleanliness wasn't what I would expect for a holiday house, the towels supplied for the ensuite were very stained and old, there was linen in the linen cupboard but it was all shoved in like you might so in your own home and the gardens were very overgrown, not like in the photos depicted on your website. There was no BBQ as shown in photos, no bedside tables...

"Good location in close proximity to shops and beach the neighbourhood was a little shabby. Guests to supply all linen yet we weren’t told it was king singles and king bed so linen didn’t fit. Lots of green ant nests in the back yard the kids got a lot of bites so lots of tears playing outside. Overall nice old house just a few little things"

"All the family came 96 years to 4 months old and we all had a great time. All the activities were well used and appreciated. The weather was perfect and the views were awesome. The location was wonderful for shopping and plenty of great cafe's in the area. The Retreat exceeded our expectations. Well done Brigid."

"Had a lovely stay. Space was able to accomodate our group easily and the only thing we looked for briefly was a BBQ (there isn’t one at the house) before heading to the beach to use the common BBQ’s. Location is perfect. "

"We had a fantastic time, perfect for 4 adults and kids, lots of space and the pool was a hit for our 6, 10 & 12 year old. The trolley was very helpful getting to the beach every day. Dicky beach is beautiful with a nice small row of shops nearby. Everything was perfect other than the beds weren't made even though linen is provided and no hand soap provided. The keys to the house are in Caloundra which wasn't ideal either. Otherwise I would have given all 5 stars.. thanks for a fantastic stay "

"A thoroughly lovely property to stay at, run by wonderful hosts. So conveniently located between Maleny and Montville and dangerously close to the cheese shop! We couldn’t have asked for a better property experience. "

"Stuck inside during the monsoon but was happy to be stuck in such lovely house. Had issues with power but real estate and owner were very helpful and fast acting. "

"Lovely home, lots of room in the bedrooms, clean with lots of added extras like books, kitchen items and toiletries. Pool was a big hit and used regularly. Short walk to the beach and shops nearby. We went to the market on Sunday and loved it! We arrived just after cyclone Alfred so were worried we wouldnt be able to stay but the house was unscathed and all set for our arrival"

"Spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathrooms where living is done upstairs. Very clean open planned. Brought my own slow cooker to complete family meals - after being out and about all day coming home to aroma fresh home cooked meals. We will be back next year."
