Casa Pelicano is just a 2 minute walk to the beach and went through a full renovation process where everything is brand new with fantastic and pleasurable design. We wanted to elevate this historic and iconic property to the elegance and place it deserves offering our guests a dream stay. The property is at the tip of a Peninsula where you can enjoy 300 degrees views to Brasilito Beach, Conchal and Flamingo. Also you can walk downstairs and feel the sand of Playa Flamingo. It's an ideal house to rent between 1 to 3 families, 3-4 couples or simply among friends. It has 4 bedrooms each with a complete bathroom and there's also a complete bathroom for visitors. Flamingo Beach is a lovely peaceful town perfect to relax, dine, watch animals, boat trips and tour to other close by beaches, etc. We have everyday maid service for your best comfort. The property has an area of 17,000 sq ft. which brings you privacy and a lot of enjoyment.

At Casa Pelicano we understand Internet is VERY important for our lives. That is why it's equipped with a robust internet network throughout the house powered by fiber optic. Our network can connect 300 users at the same time. This way everybody can have their meetings without interruptions and be connected with your work, school and loved ones every time you desire.

Spectacular in every way
Casa Pelicans is a one of a kind special place. From our first inquiry to the end of our stay, both Max and the on site Renaldo can’t do enough to make your stay perfect. The home itself and its incredible location can’t be beat. We loved every minute, from the 3 year old to the 75 year olds. And Playa Flamingo, easily accessed from the house, is a fabulous beach with great restaurants and activities nearby. Thank you, Max and Reynaldo, for the best vacation ever!

Fabulous vacation!
We had an incredible experience at Casa Pelicano. The house was beyond our expectations with its beauty, space, patio, and sunsets. The beach was super easy access and never very crowded. We had amazing meals and would highly recommend Flamingo Foods, Chef Dania, and Road Less Traveled for in home meals. Reynaldo was so helpful and wonderful to have around. Max made our trip run so smoothly with arranged rides from the airport, golf cart rental, excursion planning, grocery shopping, and always checked in with us to see if we needed anything. This was one of the best family vacations we've had and we hope to be back soon!

Incredible place!
We travel often with our kids and have stayed in a number of VRBO homes - Casa Pelicano is the most incredible place we have ever stayed! The house and location are stunning, the access to beautiful Playa Flamingo is easy, and the service from Max and Reynaldo was amazing. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable! Beautiful house
Wonderful stay with our group at Casa Pelicano, exactly as pictured and more. The views are amazing, great for lounging by the pool and nice setup for outdoor dining. Great bunk bedroom for the kids. Having Reynaldo, the housekeeper, there was an extra bonus. You will love this house!

Fantastic house and amazing views!
We could not have been happier with our stay at Casa Flamingo in Guanacaste! We stayed here with another family and the home easily accommodated all 11 of us. The onsite butler kept the home very clean, sweeping up sand and mopping floors inside and out. It sits up overlooking the ocean on almost every side of the house giving magnificent views. It is a very short walk down to the beach where you can pick your spot easily and there are vendors willing to help set up a tent and chairs, jet skis, massage tables and drinks. While we ventured off property we felt great about leaving our things behind with a huge gate and walls surrounding the house. We rented to 2 golf carts which were waiting on us upon arrival thanks to our property manager, Max. Max is very responsive and helped us set up our own chefs for any amount of meals you’d choose. Any questions we had, Max was quick to answer for us. We loved the house and our trip to Costa Rica and we would definitely be back to stay at Casa Flamingo!

Max is very attentive and covers every detail. Reynaldo took care of every need we had and even things we didn’t need. My wife was trying to figure out how to bring him home. This was by far the best experience we have ever had with any rental.

Amazing property- we didn't want to leave!
This house was beyond incredible! We were two families traveling together with 5 kids- and the bunk room was perfect! The other bedrooms were all gorgeous and perfectly equipped and comfortable. Every detail was just breath taking! Of course our favorite place in the house was outside on the gorgeous patio with the most amazing views- I could have stayed there all day! The beach was easy to get to and very nice. The owner was helpful and responsive! And we can't say enough about how wonderful the housekeeper was! We are already planning our return next year!

Paradise in Playa Flamingo
Casa Pelicano was an absolute dream. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Stocked with everything you’ll need. The pool overlooking the ocean was nirvana and Reynaldo our house attendant was amazing and so sweet and attentive. Max was there for us during our entire trip, sincerely interested in how we were enjoying our vacation and the house. He was also so helpful with local recommendations. I can’t wait to go back. Amazing Home!
We just returned home from this amazing home and I already miss it. It is updated and pristine. Reynaldo is the house keeper and is wonderful. Max was extremely helpful with activity/ food suggestions. We had 4 adults and 6 kids in our group and had plenty of space. The outdoor area and view were fabulous. Rent this place now, you won’t be disappointed, we can’t wait to go back. Splurge on Dania, the in home chef, she is wonderful.

A Fantastic Stay...
My party spent two relaxing weeks at Casa Pelicano and would highly recommend it! The property is very well taken care of, the kitchen is well equipped for home meals and there are ample restaurants within walking/driving distance. Max is ready to address any requests/issues that may arise and you will feel well supported during your visit. The property itself is lovely with commanding views of the spectacular sunsets, the sound of surf on the rocks below the cliff and the comfort of shaded outdoor furniture and a refreshing pool. This a wonderful property for small and large parties alike, thank you for the adventure!

Perfect Family Villa
Our family of eight stayed at Casa Pelicano for a family wedding that was held in the area. The home, grounds and location exceeded our expectations. Also superb was the thoughtful communication by Max (before and during our stay) as well as the caretaking by Renaldo- he kept every area of the villa and grounds spotless without being the slightest bit intrusive. The view is truly spectacular and we spent many hours enjoying the pool and view. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a little market a short golf cart drive away that provided everything we needed to enjoy meals on the veranda. We also had a few meals out and highly recommend The Surf Box and Coco Loco. The beach is lovely and can be reached during low tide via some 'rustic' cement steps across the street from the villa. One unexpected benefit we found of being located high above the beach was the blissful lack of mosquitoes (which were plentiful at the homes of friends of ours who were directly on the beach). It was a memorable stay and would love to return!

Fantastic!
Playa Flamingo is perfect for a family and friends including for teenagers. The highlight for us were the nightly sunsets and the private pool. The beach is minutes away via the steps at the end of the small lane. Max's help and recommendations are invaluable and ensured that we had a fun and safe holidays. He can help organize a cook, activities, and general advice including the odd trip(s) to urgent care. We will be back!

Great for first timers to Costa Rica
This home was immaculate, plenty of relaxing spaces, and the location was phenomenal. No doubt that this made our first trip to CR completely restful and enjoyable. Despite having 8 adults in the house, the home and property were large enough for everyone to have their own space to relax and enjoy the view. The location is better than we expected in that you have easy access to the beach (less than 2 mins walk from front door to sand), yet away from the crowd and other businesses. We felt isolated (in a good way) and felt like we had the area to ourselves. The sunsets by the pool were awe inspiring and was enjoyable every single evening. This was our first time to CR and the owner Max was very helpful in providing recommendations on everything from Restaurants, excursions, in-home massage and more. It was an added benefit staying less than 45 mins drive to some amazing places within the region that gives you a taste of what CR has to offer. You can spend the entire week here and feel like you got the entire CR experience. I understand new pictures of the property will be posted soon (if not already by the time you read this), but they will still not do it justice. All these other 5-star reviews got it right and you'll have to stay here to truly believe it.

Perfection!!!!!
For one month we thoroughly enjoyed this property. We loved the views of the coastline, the closeness to the beach, the comfort of the house, the outdoor living spaces, the well-appointed kitchen and the incomparable Reynaldo who took such beautiful care of the property and us. Max handled the logistics of delivering friends and family to and from the airport seamlessly. Oh and let’s not forget the pelicans , flamingos and egrets soaring over the property as we had our morning coffee. Only responsible renters should consider this place cuz we are coming back and we want no wear and tear!!

Maximiliano’s home is perfect for a larger family getaway. It sits up from the beach and has incredible views all around. The beach is just a 2 minute walk away. The home is nicely decorated and very clean! The bunk room actually has 4 queen size bunk beds which was perfect for my son and wife with 2 young children. The property has a pool and a jetted tub that we all enjoyed. Reynaldo the house manager is absolutely wonderful and is such a hard worker. Maxi was very helpful in setting up transportation to places and suggestions for things to do and see. The area of flamingo is quite small and very peaceful so not really in a big tourist area. So if you’re looking for more action then you have to plan your days out and travel for other activities. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Pelicano and the Costa Rican people. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing Stay
Casa Pelicano was everything we hoped it would be and so much more. The house beautiful and is so well taken care of. It fit two families of five more than comfortably, with room to spare. The views and the setting are spectacular, it’s just a very special house. Max, the property manager was so easy and responsive to work with from start to finish. He helped set up all of the extra things that would be hurdles in most other places. Groceries, golf carts, a handicapped chair at the last minute, restaurant suggestions, etc.…there was simply no stress. Reynaldo, the on site property caretaker, was a very nice added touch. He managed deliveries, kept things extremely clean, did our laundry, cut our fruit, etc. He kept a watchful eye on things…all which was never asked or expected of him. He did it all while we were gone and stayed out of the way when we were enjoying ourselves at the property. Thank you for making our trip to Costa Rica so enjoyable, we will be back!

Amazing home
We had a group of 9 across 2 families with 4 adults and 5 kids ages 16-21. Pictures on VRBO do not even capture 10% of how amazing the property is. We were speechless when we walked in the first time- the beauty of the outdoor space with 300 degree views of the Pacific were fantastic. The way the house is settled on the property was so well done- doing dishes overlooking the pool and then the ocean was beautiful. The accommodations were perfect for our group-4 boys stayed in the bunk room that had a terrific set up with 4 comfortable double beds that didn’t feel like bunk beds at all. Our one girl had her own room/bathroom and each adult couple had their own room. The beds were perfectly comfortable, the bathrooms were luxurious, The icing on the top of our stay was Reynaldo- the caretaker of the home. He is the kindest man who keeps the house spotless (indoor and out), changing sheets mid stay- providing clean towels, and doing our laundry. A couple times during our stay he made us a treat (delicious guacamole or fresh orange juice) but generally it was so nice to have a warm smile greet us at the end of each day. He was completely unobtrusive and cleaned the home around our schedule. It was so nice to come home to clean rooms, and folded laundry waiting for us. We went to several surrounding beaches (in the golf carts Max had arranged for us). Playa Flamingo was our favorite by far and we were so glad that is where we stayed.

Spectacular
We had a fantastic time in Casa Pelicano! The house is spacious, with amazing views and equipped with everything you would need. We were 3 families, we were all very comfortable the house never felt crowded. The beach is beautiful! We walked down to the beach every day and enjoyed swimming in the warm water, we rented jet skis and also did a horseback riding tour... It was truly fantastic!! In the afternoons we would come back and watch the sunset from the pool... One day that we were visited by monkeys right there on the trees around the house! On top of all that, the crew that works in the house was amazing, respectful and super helpful! The owner Max was also super helpful and available at all times!! We hired a local chef Max recommended for my birthday who was also amazing! Bottom line, we absolutely loved the place and we can’t wait to go back! My husband and I have stayed in many rental houses and this one definitely tops the list! The only thing that could make casa pelicano even better is a hammock close to the pool area... that would be amazing!

Beautiful location, beautiful home!
My husband and I and our 3 adult kids stayed at Casa Pelicano for 13 days for his birthday. What a gem! A true home away from home. This property was even better than the VRBO description and photos. It is very clean and modern. I’ve never had a kitchen outfitted so well. It’s a great house to have guests as every bedroom has its own bathroom and a view and door to the patio. My only criticism is the beds. They are hard, as well as the pillows. The house sits up on a point so that the views are spectacular. The beach is just a short walk. The house comes with a housekeeper which was a real treat! Theresa even did our laundry. Max the owner is by far the best owner we have ever dealt with. He helped us make tours and gave us suggestions on different activities in the area. He was always available with a text on WhatsApp. Thank you Max for a fabulous vacation at Casa Pelicano! I highly recommend a private sunset sailing cruise with Panache sailing. We had a chef Dania Fallas come prepare a special dinner, I highly recommend her, so knowledgeable and talented.

Absolutely incredible- one of our top stays anywhere in the world
I often roll my eyes at reviews that proclaim "not enough stars to give!" but I've got to say it- concerning our stay at Casa Pelicano, there really aren't enough stars to give. We've been fortunate to stay in many, many places around the world, and this is one of the top luxury stays we've been able to experience. The property is stunning, and pictures somehow don't do it justice. Immaculately clean, brand new, every luxury considered, and with dramatic ocean views at every turn. Communication with the owner was excellent- Max had a golf cart at the property awaiting our use, arranged a massage at the house for me, and offered plenty of recommendations. One of my primary hesitations in booking a home rental when traveling abroad is that I may miss the service of a hotel concierge. No need to worry about that here, as Max is able and eager to help with anything. The shining star of our trip was Sr. Reynaldo, who kept the home fantastically clean (even with our two small kids!), did all our laundry, and anticipated anything we could need. Both kids (and us!) were so sad to leave him on our last day. Huge thank you to Max & Reynaldo for making our holiday incredible. If this home is available, book it. You won't be disappointed.

Such an unforgettable property!
We traveled to Playa Flamingo with our extended family which included 5 children ages 15-8yo. Casa Pelicano was a perfect rental accommodation for our party of 10. You will feel blown away by this house! It was gorgeous, impeccable, spacious. But you will never get over the view! Then on top of it all it comes with the service of Maximiliano as the property manager, and Reynoldo as the (garage apt live-in) house manager. Max helped us to rent golf carts which are needed to reach most restaurants, beaches, stores. He also provided vendor recommendations for our excursions. And we tried many of the restaurant recs from him as well. Reynoldo is a hard working and calming presence as he maintains the property, most of the time without you realizing he’s been there. During his day off, we felt lost without him! If you have never been to CR, then you should know how joyful the Costa Ricans are. What we liked about this area, Playa Flamingo, is that you are not on a resort, where you never see much of the country. Playa Flamingo is like a lazy surf town, that seems like a secret destination that most tourists aren’t aware of. And from there we were able to reach other areas- Playa Brasilito (Don’t miss Patagonia Del Mar), Potrero, etc. We truly hope to return to CR, and specifically Casa Pelicano again soon. We are just getting to know the area, and there’s so much more to explore.

Vacation in Paradise!
Let me begin by saying, this has been the most amazing beach property we have ever stayed in, and Max is the best host we’ve ever had! He made sure that every single detail was taken care of, was super responsive, and gave us great recommendations for our stay. The house is like out of a design magazine, absolutely stunning in every way. It was recently renovated entirely with impeccable taste and attention to detail. There are breathtaking ocean views literally from every room and space of the property. The bedrooms and bathrooms are first-class, each bedroom has sliding doors to the terrace with ocean view. Our bedroom and bathroom were truly amazing, we could see the stars from our shower skylight! The open kitchen is very spacious and fully equipped with everything you can possibly think of. The living area has a super comfortable sofa that our family enjoyed in the evening while watching movies. The outdoor area is out of this world. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets from the pool, relaxed in the jacuzzi, barbecued fresh fish, and even had a massage at the terrace overlooking the ocean. Simply perfection! The property grounds are beautifully kept, and the house is immaculate. Tere, the house keeper, kept the house sparkling clean and also did our laundry. She was super nice all the time and helped us in every way she could. We got so spoiled, we truly did not want to leave! The location of the house is absolutely perfect, very private but close to everything. We walked to the beach everyday and enjoyed jet skiing, snorkeling and eating at Coco Loco, right on the beach. Everything was very convenient, and Flamingo is such a beautiful beach with so much to do. Max, thank you for sharing your spectacular piece of heaven on earth with us and for making our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back soon! Pura Vida!
