Another wonderful stay at Playa Grande! Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. We got a fantastic upgrade to the front building on the beach at check-in due to being an Expedia Gold member. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern with views of the pools and ocean. Balcony patios are big and allowed for quiet mornings watching the sunrise or whales migrating. Lots of activities throughout the day and plenty of loungers to hang out by the pools. We love the short walk to the marina for activities or restaurants. Highly recommend!

The property is very convenient to the harbor area, and in good condition. It’s not the most trendy, but the basic jr suite is large and comfortable. The bath/shower is not good for anyone with mobility issues though, as you need to take steps to get into. The grounds are well maintained and clean and the pools are nice.

Property was beautiful and clean. Some staff members were more welcoming than others. Amenities were not all included like mini golf which you would think it would be free instead it’s $20 a person. Lost my ring that was expensive and not one staff member came to help look for it

Been to the Playa Grande many times. This trip we were placed in 3 rooms at The Ridge instead of in the Playa Grande. The rooms at the Ridge are very nice, however the rooms faced the Marina and the roof top bars in the area played music loudly until 1-2 AM making sleeping difficult. The staff was very helpful in moving two of the rooms back down to the Playa Grande toward the beach. But they were not able to move the third room.

Beautiful, immaculately cleaned and maintained. Enjoyed the energy of the water aerobics crew. Really really appreciate cleaning crew that found and returned my partners watch which she had mistakenly mixed up with our discarded pool towels.

The property was beautiful and the service was amazing. We were there for a wedding and it was absolutely perfect. My only bummer was that you couldn’t even dip your feet in the ocean because of the current but that’s not their fault. They were actually very careful about making sure people were safe and not getting too close.
