I've stayed at MM locations before and they're pretty great for what it is. This particular location do not get the single room unless you love sleeping in fried shrimp air while sitting on the speakers directly above Senor Frogs. The kitchen exhaust kicks all the fryer air directly into the bedrooms.. enjoy!

Such a cute place! The food and drinks are so good! Everyone there is super friendly. Rodoiťo Marlon had excellent customer service. He helped us check in & out. He also helped us book a boat ride…so beautiful. I will definitely be coming back!

Just ok. On top of a mini Señor Frog's for cruise people. They open early but close early as well. So if you're not a morning person, you will wake up to loud music. The rooms with the balcony are very small compared to the ones with 2 beds. Location is good.

Pros: fun hostel and super friendly staff, nice rooms with consistent cleaning, big TV, comfy beds, things to buy including water/snacks and gift shop, nice restaurant and pool area, offers daily activities. Convenient and walkable, right by the beautiful marina (you can hear the seals barking at night). Staff again was extremely friendly and helpful. People hang by the pool and will offer cheap group activities to the hostel/hotel goers like snorkeling, party boat, etc (shoutout Javier). Cons: BIGGEST BY FAR WAS THE SHOWER HAD ZERO HOT WATER THE WHOLE 10 DAYS, SO WE HAD TO USE THE HOSTEL SHOWER DESPITE PAYING FOR A PRIVATE ROOM WITH A SHOWER. We also got charged $10 for getting foundation (makeup) on a towel (that would be fine but they accused it of being...something else...but it wasn't.) Sometimes the TV wouldn't work, the light wouldn't turn on, and there was no soap in the dispenser by the sink. Loud club music playing by the pool all day and into the night; that was fine for us except when we wanted to sleep in. Wish it was more accessible (but there was a hidden elevator). Plus, there's no microwave or fridge in private rooms. Overall, 4/5 or 4.5/5. It was a good time and we don't regret it at all!

Well cared for property and is a great party destination for young people. The hostel has uplifting atmosphere, positive vibes, offers a lot of free activities. guests are nice, good diversity mixed, great location. I highly recommend this hostel and I am planning to go back to Cabo and I will definitely will stay at Mayan Monkey hostel again. Property was pretty unique I appreciated the vibe and staff was friendly. I did however book I higher end room I believe the most expensive with marina view. Upon booking I was informed the room I booked was having some sort of issue which I interpreted as they over booked either purposely or accidentally. Regardless I was offering a room that was “bigger” but also half the price of the one I originally booked one that basically had a view of every person walking by. The offered me free breakfast in the morning as a consolation but no partial refund or anything further aside from a couple margaritas. All in all this was a pretty big breakdown for me. Unfortunately I wouldn’t risk booking here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mayan monkey! Fun themed evenings, really large private room, and close to the marina. It is on the other end of the marina so I would maybe not have loved walking home alone at night but with someone else it was not a problem. Would return!
