Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Pros: fun hostel and super friendly staff, nice rooms with consistent cleaning, big TV, comfy beds, things to buy including water/snacks and gift shop, nice restaurant and pool area, offers daily activities. Convenient and walkable, right by the beautiful marina (you can hear the seals barking at night). Staff again was extremely friendly and helpful.
People hang by the pool and will offer cheap group activities to the hostel/hotel goers like snorkeling, party boat, etc (shoutout Javier).
Cons: BIGGEST BY FAR WAS THE SHOWER HAD ZERO HOT WATER THE WHOLE 10 DAYS, SO WE HAD TO USE THE HOSTEL SHOWER DESPITE PAYING FOR A PRIVATE ROOM WITH A SHOWER.
We also got charged $10 for getting foundation (makeup) on a towel (that would be fine but they accused it of being...something else...but it wasn't.)
Sometimes the TV wouldn't work, the light wouldn't turn on, and there was no soap in the dispenser by the sink. Loud club music playing by the pool all day and into the night; that was fine for us except when we wanted to sleep in. Wish it was more accessible (but there was a hidden elevator).
Plus, there's no microwave or fridge in private rooms.
Overall, 4/5 or 4.5/5. It was a good time and we don't regret it at all!
