Creekside home with hot tub within 30 mins to Asheville

Relax to the soothing sound of Lickskillet Creek. This home is situated in the Bald Creek area of Yancey County near the quaint town of Burnsville. Burnsville is the quintessential small town nestled in the foothills of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi. It is known for its artistic vibe and outdoor adventures. Its town square offers restaurants, local shops, galleries, antiques, and a lively brewery.
The space
At Lickskillet there is plenty of room to relax inside and out. The creek boarders the back yard which has a fire pit, picnic table, hammock and two decks. The front yard is flat with plenty of space to play and a picturesque barn and pasture across the road. The house was remodeled in 2022 making it feel fresh and clean. It is decorated in a trendy bohemian farmhouse style. The main level of the home is accessible by two steps and has all the living space on one level. There is a rec room in the basement with a ping pong and foosball table, couch, video games and card table making this a great hang out space. This area is not heated or cooled but stays comfortable most of the year.
Guest access
-There is about an acre of flat yard to play in. There are some yard games/sports stuff in a storage building that guest may use.
-The laundry is in the basement.

Please note the rec room in the basement is not heated/cooled but does stay comfortable for a good part of the year.

Fantastic stay in Burnsville
We had a wonderful time visiting this part of North Carolina. It is a lovely all mountain town and after a day out and about it was nice to return to this cozy home with a creek out back, build a camp fire and look at the stars. Very relaxing!

Multigenerational Getaway
We had a wonderful time with family at Lickskillet Creek!!! The location is very peaceful, yet conveniently located for hiking, shopping, antiquing, gem mining, etc! The hosts have thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay indoors and outdoors.

This was a beautiful location near Asheville. Heather and Clint were phenomenal hosts that paid such attention to detail. Everything was so organized and clean. There were so many things just to do onsite for a family. WE ALL LOVED IT!

Cozy and eclectic! This house was lovely and had updated features with a farmhouse feel. The beds feel like sleeping on clouds. Backyard was so relaxing to listen to the brook by the fire at night. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect Getaway
If you're looking for a great location outside of the city then look no further! The house is a 10 of 10, exactly as advertised.... clean, warm, cozy and comfortable home in the country, in a peaceful and quiet area. This home is full of bonus amenities. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and hammock by the creek. It was the perfect location for our Fall getaway. Would definitely stay again!!

This place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the country, listening to the creek, looking at the night sky and relaxing in the hot tub. Inside, the house was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed throughout the week. We enjoyed the location as well. Birthday Fun with the grandkids
This place is perfect to sit back and relax. The spa and creek were wonderful. We went to the local park for some hiking and fishing. The beds and pillows were so comfy!! Love the games in the basement. Kept the kids busy!!
