"Always a fabulous stay at the Berchtold. Super covenient to public transportation, clean, nice rooms, great staff, and great food. If you are there at the holiday season, try to get a reservation in to the Raclette chalet as early as possible since it books up really quickly! The Berchtold is our go-to hotel any time we are in Burgdorf or the Bern region. "

"Let's start by saying that this is a hostel, so amenities are limited and comfort is just ok. That said, this is an awesome place to stay. We added the meal at night--excellent and parking. Staff was very pleasant and helped us understand how to navigate the stay."

"I stayed here on business with a colleague. The Manager is extremely eloquent and we shared a lovely drink with him at a local bar he was attending. Attention to detail is everything and a way of life here. The way their staff are looked after here is inspiring, the quality of Swiss life shines through is the service. I wouldn’t book anywhere else locally, I’d always choose this hotel in future, given the choice."

"My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our week stay at this beautiful mountain retreat. The immaculately clean apartment is the bottom floor of a rustic Swiss chalet overlooking the farm and rolling hills. The location is stunning where the only sounds you hear are distant cow bells and sheep. Simon and Beatrice were friendly, kind and supportive from the time we contacted them to when we left. "We stayed here for a week in December. There were four adults, and we had plenty of room. You could easily fit two families here. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and made use feel at home.
