"The purpose of our visit was to attend the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival at Fontainebleau. Fontainebleau is an easy run from Poligny and definitely a place worth exploring. Beautiful countryside and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Gite was comfortable and we enjoyed meals outside in the courtyard under the beautiful ash tree. Being a converted stone farm building the ground floor lacked natural daylight but the outside space more than compensated. Jacques,s English was quite good which was just...

"The accommodations here were very comfortable and clean with a well equipped kitchen for a rental. The owner was very pleasant and addressed any concerns we had very promptly. They also had a very cute and friendly dog that visited us outside for our morning coffee. Only thing that was not excellent was the refrigerator. It had a musty smell and leaked water from the freezer into our food. It was all that we needed for our short stay."

The fragrant linden tree was in flower, and the red current bushes were full of edible berries. We had access to trail bikes, which we used to explore the countryside. The hosts were very kind and attentive."
