We picked Elmwood Village for our Buffalo vacation. The area is truly one of the best. The beautiful house was along a quiet tree lined street, but right around the corner was Elmwood Ave with lots of shops, a bookstore, bank, restaurants, bars, and Lexington Coop, a convenient walk for groceries. A short drive up the other end of Elmwood will take you to Wegmans and a great liquor store. Honestly this store was probably the best supermarket I've been to for options for prepared foods to take out and very reasonably priced. On the way you'll go by the AKG Art Museum, The Burchfield Museum, Buffalo State University Campus, Hoyt Lake, Delaware Park, and Forest Lawn Cemetery. These are less than a one mile walk from the apartment. Now for the apartment.....it's an older house that has been restored with all the charm of huge windows, tall ceilings, and great woodwork. Note that there are 5 steps to the front door and then another two short sets of stairs to get to the second floor apt. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and clean, The kitchen is modern and conveniently stocked for cooking and has a Keurig Combo coffee maker to use with single cup pods or the option to brew a whole pot.
We highly recommend the Breezy Burrito, Coles, The Terrace at Delaware Park for Brunch and The Place restaurants....all walkable!! Safe free parking near the house was easy to get on the street. Nick was great to communicate with and Tv options were top notch! Thanks
