We (retired parents and two grown sons) really enjoyed our stay at this home in the Allentown neighborhood of Buffalo. The house was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. There were great restaurants nearby and we loved strolling through the surrounding neighborhoods of lovely old homes.
My husband and I come every year from CA to Buffalo for a Bills game. We like to stay within walking distance of Allentown for the food/bar scene. No other property has had a gated (remote open) private driveway and completely private back patio area. It was heaven. If you are familiar with the neighborhood, you understand what looking for parking is like. When I travel I want a comfy place to crash at the end of the day, especially after 8 hours in Orchard Park on a Sunday. The living room and couch/TV combo was perfect. Two couples crashed/napped/chilled comfortably all weekend. The 3rd level bed was better than my own and I miss it. I will definitely be looking to see if this place is open next year!
Great house, great location, and great host who was always quick to respond to any message. Walkable to all the best downtown spots. Gated private parking. I'd return. Go Bills!
Wanted to go somewhere different with lots of things to explore. My daughter found this place that was very homey and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend, as we’ve went to a Buffalo sabers game, just 8 minutes from this location. Next, we wondered to the falls and explored the local mall, Walden Galleria, for some shopping. Finally, packed up in the safety of a gated in parking area.
Rememberable stay,

Looking to stay close to everything with 7 people and not breaking the bank
Immediately upon going into the house I texted the owner (who was kind enough to give his number directly) to tell him that for such a small property the space was beautiful and utilized perfectly. My 4 daughters adored the loft room as their own little getaway and while the living room was small, there was plenty of room with the huge couch. The kitchen was a perfect size and it, along with the bathrooms and walls look like they were recently remodeled. Everything was adorable!
When reading reviews there were mentions of having gated parking (a positive) and the loud nightlife (a negative). I agree with the plus of having the gated parking as most houses had only street parking near there. We thought we would hear bars and restaurants that was not the case. There was nothing that close.
For us the parking and loud noise situation was different. Directly across the street is a place that hands out food to the poor or homeless. While they hang out there all day our house had blinds and as long as they were kept shut it was like we were in our own little world. At night no one hung around and so we had no issue with my 5 teens hung out on the patio playing games and giggling into the night. We hate to even mention it but we were not super excited that we didn't know about it until we were pulling up seeing the groups of people hanging out. I want to assure anyone thinking about going to this house that is wasn't ultimately an issue.
Had an excellent stay. The rental was in a great location and very clean. We had 7 total and it fit everyone comfortably. We appreciated the gated driveway and off street parking. I would look for this rental again if we go back to Buffalo.
The house is exactly as the pictures show, beautiful.
Cons:
We had asked for an early check-in since we flew on a red-eye and have a 5-year-old. I was told we could check in any time that day. We drove straight from the airport around 11:15 am, hoping to shower and rest before heading out. When we arrived, we couldn't check in because it was being cleaned and they couldn't give us an estimate of when it would be ready. That was a little frustrating, but not the end of the world.
The location was a challenge for us because we have a small child and were exhausted. The inside of the house is very quiet, but as to be expected, it is loud outside in the middle of the night. It is in the city and we should have planned better for that. The other concern we had was with the stairs. The stairs to the 2nd and especially to the 3rd floor are VERY steep and not the best option for elderly folks or for carrying kids.
The house had absolutely everything we needed. It even has tons of spices. The property manager text a couple of times to check on us and that was nice.
If we were with a few adults and were already planning to stay up late, this house would have been a great match for us. I only leave these comments because it wasn't the best choice for us, with our situation, but in my younger, stay out all night days, it would have been amazing.
Our stay in Allentown was great- the house was very clean, and has recently been renovated, so everything was modern and new. It had everything we needed for our week long stay, and we felt very at home. We were a family of 3 (with our 3 y/o son) staying with my parents, 5 people total. The air conditioning felt great during a hot week. The location was perfect for getting around Buffalo. Sergio was very responsive to any questions, and he made sure everything was ready for us. I would highly recommend a stay here!
