Hotel Monarca
Loved Hotel Monarca! The location was great and a short walk to to Casa Rosada and Avenida 9 De Julio. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was a bit lacking though there needed to be something else besides just bread items but hotel staff was friendly and I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again in Buenos Aires!

Nice hotel close to ferry terminal
Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. When they found out we would be leaving before their breakfast was available, they offered to specially prepare something for us. The room was small but quite functional and certainly sufficient for our needs. We chose the hotel because it was only a quick 7-10 walk from the Buquebus terminal where we were catching an early ferry to Montevideo. Would certainly recommend this hotel, especially if catching a ferry to Uruguay.

Good location for ferry trip to Colonia del Sacram
I was planning to visit Colonia del Sacramento so I chose this hotel and it was a right decision. Very close to the port and also close to another places/streets for sightseeing. Hotel room is compact but enough for just a stay.

Affordable but nice
The hotel was cheap, but we recieved quite a nice clean room with a large bed, located in a nice area in the centre of the city. Would definitely recommend for anyone.

The hotel was clean, but there were some problems with moisture damage in the bathroom and the pillows sheets and towels were not the newest. The traffic noise was pretty loud even though it was a one-lane and one-way street - thankfully it was fine at night. The breakfast was just ok - I like to have eggs or some kind of protein and there was a little ham and cheese (ran out quickly), but mostly 5 kinds of bread and fruit juice. The front desk was helpful with directions and restaurants, etc. and they set us up with a few great excursions. Overall a great deal for the price.

Good hotel in good location
Only stayed here for a couple of hours, was intransit from Uruguay to Peru. Within walking distance of the Ferry terminal as well as a 2min cab ride from the bus terminal to the international airport. Plenty of restaurants around. Hotel was clean and comfortable with great showers. Was very quiet, overall highly recommended.

Our Return
Overall our experience was good--however we found the fact that we had to pay for breakfast disconcerting when we were sure it was pais for. (20 USD). We had only a confirmation number not a voucher to fall back on. (We were unable to print it off)

The Monara Hotel--Buenas Aires
We found this hotel to be very centrally located close to lots of shopping a ferry terminal (to Uruguay), restaurants and city sights. The hotel, itself, is a turn-of-the-century (early 1900,s) typical of the era it was built. It has been refurbished to that era with fixtures like the elevator, halls and stsirs being kept original. While the elevator appears old, it has up-to-the date running mechanisms. 'the rooms are immaculate, small and sparsely furnished. The king size bed is comfortable. The staff, some of who speak English, are both pleasant and polite. This hotel meets our specifications. We have already returned for a second stay. The area seems quite safe even during the revelries of New Year's Eve.

Good deal
Inexpensive compared to others and clean, comfortable and with friendly and helpful staff. A little noisy at times from other guests (thin walls?) but not a big problem. USD10 breakfast is overpriced and missable. Great location to wander around the city from.

great deal for the money. Good central location, clean, very nice staff, accommodating and knowledgable. BA is a destination where you should be close to the city center. This please meets that criteria. Helped us with receiving a package that was sent by courier to the hotel for us during the day.
