Short overnight stay
The hotel was close to AEP - Jorge Newbery airport - and suitable for our few hours transit stopover. Didn't get to explore the surrounding area but seemed very central and close to many cafes and restaurants.

Great location, good hotel
Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was simple, don't expect fancy or much variety, but location was amazing. Near all the great shops in Palermo Soho. Wifi only worked in the lobby, not in the room.

Quaint character hotel
We only stayed here for one night but we had a deluxe room with plenty of space and a jacuzzi tub. It's a residential building converted into a boutique hotel so the sizes and shapes of the rooms are somewhat strange. The sitting area is nice with part ethnic, part jazzy type of decor. There is a big back yard that people can enjoy.

cute boutique hotel
Jam Suites is a great hotel located in the trendy Palermo Soho district. Only a few extra things to note: -when we were there, someone at the front desk had to open the locked door to the hotel for you. Kind of annoying -I thought suites meant we'd have our own kitchen. We didn't -breakfast is great

Nice hotel in center of Palermo
This is a really nice boutique hotel. At the price point this was a great option to stay in Palermo area. It is close to everything- shopping, night life (gay or straight), coffee shops, parks, etc. The location is trendy and gay, somewhat like Chelsea in NYC. This hotel is better for couples than singles. You have to give your key to front desk every time you come and go. Therefore if you meet a friend and want to come back with them, the hotel staff knows. There is also somewhat lack of privacy in the way the hotel is designed, you can hear people walk through hallways and front yard. You can hear the front desk and kitchen area.. and of course they can hear what you are doing in your room. So if you need a lot of privacy, this would not be for you. (this did not bother me too much) Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Do not expect much from the Breakfast- I recommend skip hotel breakfast and try something block or two away.

Great location!
The hotel is overall cute and in a good location (although kind of hidden). The staff was also super friendly and spoke English which was fantastic. Good breakfast with eggs! Our room though was excessively humid with peeling walls ( and a little mold) and there was a bug in one if the beds.

A great place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Jam Suites Boutique Hotel as it was very close to the centre of the city and in the heart of Palermo Soho which has great shopping and eating/drinking places. The staff were very helpful with our requests for places to see and even organised taxis for us, and checked various places on the net as I was looking for some texan cowboy boots. The only issue was with the bathroom in which the floor was quite dirty and some mildew showing on the bath casing (which may have had a panel over it previously). It was great having a backyard with grass and trees/bushes to take shelter under the hot sun, the most enjoyable day being when we arrived back early from a shopping spree and there was a film crew taking publicity shots of a very lovely model in a very skimpy bikini for a well-known fashion magazine. The atmosphere or ambience of the hotel was really comfortable and set up around a jazz music theme (which I like). We recommend this hotel to visitors who want something better than a hostel and want to be close to a great nightlife without the noise.

Superb staff, great location, a little tlc needed
Friendly helpful staff who really mad the effort to make sure you were ok. Very discreet entrance, so look carefully to find it. Living area and garden fantastic, howver only disappointment was my room. Big band, small internal room with window that opened onto entrance courtyard so you heard all the noise of other guests coming and going. Room was a little shaby, but nothing that a lick of paint and some tlc would fix. Aircon leaked but did the job. Overall nice place, just would recommend different room. Staff great

Good experience
The people and atmosphere of this hotel (it's really more like a high end hostel) are amazing. It's unique, safe and the people who work there are dedicated to helping you get the most out of your BA experience. The only downside- the rooms are a little rank (we found a few bugs and the shower drains didn't work so you had to stand in ankle high water when you showered), but for us it worked because our trip wasn't about spending time in the hotel and I don't mind killing a bug here or there.

The room have a very strong smoke smell, I felt like being in an ashtry.
So so, there's humidity in the room, it's hiden with the sents they're spreading around, but the bathroom door was rotten. and there was a lot of mild all around the tube.

Great location. Great service.
We had a hard time finding a place when our flight to Patagonia was cancelled so we changed a couple of hotels during our stay in Buenos Aires. Jam was the cutest one so far and we truly wish we could have stayed longer. It is in the hippest neighborhood so it is a little bit pricey. You also have to keep in mind that you won't find the luxuries of a hotel. But it has all the charm that you can't find in a hotel as well. The staff was great. Very friendly, very very helpful. The open buffet breakfast was not the best. It was quite limited but the pan bread was so good it compensated everything. (The other places we stayed in, served only toast bread and did not have a versatile buffet either but were expensive hotels all the same) Our stay in Jam was an experience in itself and it added so much to our stay in Buenos Aires !!!

In general there were a few details that bothered us, like the shower leaking into the cement steps outside of the bathroom, making it difficult not to slip upon leaving the bathroom. But our main reason for being uncomfortable and for not feeling cared for is the following: When our flight had been cancelled for bad weather my wife and I paid for another room believing that since it was not the hotel’s fault we would not be given a break. When we got to the hotel a very nice and personable hostess told us that the hotel had actually been willing and in fact had tried to give us a room on a different day for free. We said: “What a great attitude! Well, maybe you can give us a discount if we stay one extra night”. The hostess said she would find out from her bosses and let us know. Next day the hostess was not working, and the host for that day did not know anything about it, and when we explained what the hostess had said, he told us in a very condescending way that he would let us check out at 6pm instead of 2pm. That was very helpful to us and we accepted. This occurred in the morning, very close to 2pm the host changed his mind and told us to leave at 2pm. We had to pack in a hurry our many heavy bags. The host seemed very unfriendly and we had to insist that he call us a cab (he said the cab company would not accept a call with so many bags); when the cab got there the cabbie was angry because the host had not explained that we had so many bags. The cabbie had to cram our bags in unlikely places and complained the whole trip. A negative experience that ruined our Buenos Aires visit.

Fantastic Hotel in a great location.
Jam Suites is definitly a great Boutique hotel. Its location is superb. Close to great restaurants, bars and trendy shops. About a 10 Minute walk from the Subway and only 2 minutes to a major bus line as well. The hotel its self is owned and run by a lovely man and his assistants. Everyone at the hotel is extreamly helpful in providing information on the local areas as well as Buenos Aires as a whole. The rooms are pretty spacious and clean. We stayed in 2 different rooms and bother were great. Bathrooms and rooms were clean daily and fresh towels given as well. Overall I was very happy with the hotel and it has a great garden to have breakfast in in the sun.

One of the greatest deceptions
If you ask for a Taxi or Remise to the one that is in charge of the reception, for sure your taxi will not arrive. We almost lose our plane because they just forget to ask for a Taxi with 12 hour of anticipation

Great stay at the Jam Suites
Hip boutique hotel in great location. Photos of classic rockers, blues and jazz artists all over the common areas, friendly owner/manager speaks perfect English. We stayed in a suite with 2 tweens. Easy access to soho shops and restaurants, but very quiet room on courtyard.

A Great Little Hotel in the Heart of Buenos Aires
I spent two nights here during a trip through Argentina, and I had a great time. The hotel is well maintained, and the decor and setting is beautiful and peaceful. My room (small by American standards, but quite comfortable) overlooked the entry courtyard, which is covered by grapevines. The staff was friendly and quite helpful.
