We can also organize private chefs, Yoga and Pilates sessions, surf lessons, massages, and much more!
Mar-A-mar is situated in the heart of Santa Teresa Beaches, just in front of the best surf point known as: "La Lora", and the most beautiful white sand beach of the area. It is at walking distance from the most popular restaurants, cafés, specialties shops and supermarkets.
As "Casa Atrapasueños" is located midway up the mar-A-mar hill, for these reason the breathtaking views, we recommend renting a vehicle such as an ATV, Rhino, or 4x4 car. During the dry season, a regular car is also an option, though a 4x4 is ideal for fully exploring the natural beauty and attractions Santa Teresa has to offer!
Casa Atrapasuenos is the ideal getaway for those seeking surf, yoga, high quality food and natural beauty. The 1,800 square foot home is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house designed to maximize the beautiful ocean and sunset views. The home is part the el Bosque in Maramar with a central location to all that Santa Teresa has to offer. The house is surrounded by Pochote trees which provide an opportunity to view howler monkeys, iguanas and other wildlife right off the balcony. During the dry season, the leaves of Pochote fall revealing an even more impressive view than the green season.
The bottom level of the home includes a fully loaded kitchen, dining table, L-shaped couch, sitting area, a bedroom with a queen size bed and expansive balcony to enjoy the sunset. Off of the main living area, take a few steps down to a private infinity-edge pool where you can relax on one of the two lounge chairs or take a dip in the pool to cool off. In the pool area, an additional full bathroom.
After walking upstairs on the custom Guanacaste wood stairs, you will find 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom has custom made furniture, ceiling fans and A/C. The master bedroom has a private bathroom, king-sized bed and access to a balcony where the views are even more impressive than the main level. Lay in bed and watch surfers take off on waves before deciding whether or not to paddle out or get a little more rest! The adjacent guest room has a king-sized bed with expansive views looking north. The third bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The two guest bedrooms share a bathroom.
The home is located in the gated community of Maramar. Once you arrive at the guard gate, proceed up the hill (steep at certain points) about 300m to a parking lot where you have a reserved parking spot, along with additional guest parking. The home is located about 30m from the parking lot where you will enjoy the privacy of being tucked away from the other homes. Even if not necessary, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle to access the property as the hill is steep and, sometimes during the rainy season, slippery. While the beach can be reached by walking down the hill, it is quite a workout and strongly recommend either a car or ATV to get around town.
We encourage you to rent a 4x 4 car or ATV to discover town and the beauty of the Peninsula.
- Internet: We have fiber optic with 2 different providers so when one service goes down, we have the other as back up!
- Animals & Insects: Get ready to see wildlife in its natural habitat! Howler and white-faced monkeys often pass through the trees next to house, along with iguanas and raccoons! Being in Costa Rica, you might also spot harmless insects like ants, cockroaches or geckos, especially during the rainy season. Don’t worry, this is just part of the tropical environment, not a cleanliness issue!
- Power Outages: Power cuts are common in Santa Teresa and you may experience them during your stay. This is a normal part of the local environment.
- Humidity: Santa Teresa has an average annual relative humidity of 74%, with peaks up to 87% in October and lows around 71% in February. This high humidity can make it difficult for clothes to dry, especially during the rainy season. It’s completely normal for clothing to take longer to dry in these conditions.
