The hotel is closing in a few weeks. Its obvious they don't care. Room wasn't all that clean. Pool probably hadn't been chlorinated in a while either, ha! Very relaxed staff meant we could get a super later check out.

My luggage was stolen. Avoid this hotel
I stayed at this hotel in 2011 when it was called Axel. Things have changed significantly. It is now falling apart and very shabby. We spent one night here in transit and made the horrendous mistake of leaving our luggage in storage with them. When we returned two weeks later to spend two more nights in B.A., we were told that the luggage had been stolen at gun point. As you can imagine, this was devastating. I immediately suspected that the hotel staff had simply created the story and had stolen our luggage themselves. The hotel did nothing to improve our stay; no upgrade, no refund, no reimbursement for my belongings. The manager brought me to the police station to file a report and told me he would contact me when he heard from the insurance company. It has been three weeks and I have heard nothing, despite sending them repeated emails. This only goes to strengthen my suspicions. Beware of this hotel. The staff told me they had been robbed multiple times. If that is true, it is not secure and you should look elsewhere or keep your belongings with you at all times. Shame on me for trusting a hotel.

Would recommend!
Great stay, handy location with easy walking distance to most attractions, or the metro. Incredibly friendly & helpful staff!! Good sized room, huge bed, fittings perhaps a little tired, but no disaster. I really struggled getting consistency on the aircon. Great to be able to use the gym in the morning before breakfast - buffet was fine, could have a bit more variety, but certainly ticked all the boxes. This was the first place I've seen a grainy bread on a breakfast buffet in South America, rather than the sweet white bread, I was so happy! Pool area also great, plenty of seating for sunning, and the showers are awesome.

Good value budget hotel
After reviewing other reviews, we were not expecting much. It is true that this hotel has seen better days and could do with a spot of paint having said that, it is clean and functional and for the money we could not find a better deal! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi worked great. The indoor and outdoor pools were average, the jacuzzi are clearly not functional and should not be included in an amenity list. The dry sauna was good just make sure it is on 15 mins before you want to go in.

Modern, dangerous location!!
The hotel was modern and clean but because of the decor had a very cold feeling...some repairs needed in some areas! They offered a hotel spa..but this consists of a shallow warm pool and a sauna and steam room that wasn't working or simply wasn't turned on and two hot tubs that were always covered...we stayed there for 5 days. The breakfast that was offered had very Little to no choice, therefor we only ate there twice. The room was funky and fun but had its problems. The hotel was in a very run down and dangerous location! One warning I have to anyone visiting Argentina is be very carefull with your belongings when you are out and about...bring as little as possible no bags keep everything on you in zipped pockets! Good for someone how wants a cheep hotel just to visit Argentina...

Decaying Modern Hotel.
It used to be a great hotel. They have let the condition deteriorate: wood is warped in the room, there is mold growing in the bathtub, the hot tubs have decaying tape over them telling people they are out of service. The bar is closed. The front desk staff will give you a key but they do little else, they are friendly though. The design of the hotel is modern, clean and interesting. I wish the old management were back or the new management realized that these details do matter.

Good location in San Telmo
The hotel structure is particular but really beautiful, the swimming pool at the 5h floor with the glass floor looking the lobby is simply great. People are very friendly, the breakfast is good Just a small complain regarding the noise in the street during the night but surely is a common problem of all the hotel in this part of the city.

A gem in San Telmo
It's not the fanciest place, but its authentic San Telmo. The staff was great and very accommodating. The first day I arrived was at 4am. Unfortunately I couldn't check in at that hour, as they had no rooms available, but they were kind enough to set me up in the lounge which was quiet and comfortable. Throughout my stay the staff was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Great hotel right where you want to be in town!
We stayed in three hotels (including the Be Trimos Hotel) on our trip and had the best experience at this one. Pros: The staff are wonderful. Especially Pablo at the front desk. Exceedingly helpful and courteous. He had wonderful suggestions, wrote out maps for me, looked for a box for me to take home a fragile item -- all with a smile! - Location. We loved how close this is to the Sunday Defensa Street Market. Sure, the area around can look sketchy, but we found that this was the case ANYWHERE in Buenos Aires when the shops close down. We walked every evening and had no problems. It's proximity to things to do in BA cannot be beat. - Even though has some other reviewers have mentioned it needs a little TLC, the bones are there. The architecture and room designs are just plain cool. The 5th floor spa area has a nice shallow pool with a floor in it that allows you to see down to through the other floors of the hotel. - The free wifi was great and they had like one or two routers per floor of the hotel so you shouldn't ever have problems connecting. - For the price, this is a great hotel. We looked at others online that cost more, but looked worse in pictures or were on busier streets, were farther away from what we wanted to do, etc. The pictures online for this hotel are consistent with the hotel (where as the other two we stayed in we found that the rooms we stayed in didn't quite look like what we thought they would . . .). With the Be Hotel I knew what I was expectin

Seen Better Days
A one-night stay after disembarking from a cruise. The hotel still shows signs of its glory-days but is, like most of Buenos Aires, run-down. The wallpaper in our room was grubby and the steam room, sauna and hot tub were out-of-order. Staff were pleasant and helpful (arranging airport taxi, esp); breakfast was plentiful and high quality. Like so much of BA, the hotel vicinity feels un-safe making even a short walk to and early evening dinner an anxiety-raising experience. The stylish design of the hotel does not make-up for the insecurity.

Enjoyed the stay very much at BeTrimos San telmo. The room we stayed in had a really nice view of the outside pool. The lobby where the lifts are had a fantastic see through swimming pool above it. The hotel atmosphere was relaxed, breakfast very good and cannot fault anything. My kind of hotel!

So much promise ...
The Trimos is like Argentina itself ... so much promise, such grandeur, such decay. We stayed there on the recommendations of friends who had stayed during its (brief) golden era as a premium 'gay' hotel. It must have been amazing ... the architectural design is still spectacular ... the open atrium with glass stairways, elevators and unique glass-bottom pool certainly do impress when you first walk in. The impression quickly fades. It's clear that the money and effort spent on design hasn't been carried over to ongoing maintenance. Many things no longer function. The 5-story indoor waterfall no longer 'falls', the outdoor pool likewise has lost its falls. Only one jacuzzi now works (barely) and the steam room doesn't look like it's functioned in quite some time. The rooms are in bad shape ... we got to know two as our first room had a power issue they could not resolve. Our second room suffered from a poor and loud air conditioner that struggled to keep the room at a decent temperature. All around the rooms need maintenance and a serious coat of paint, though they were still clean, and linens, towels and housekeeping were still very good. During our stay we had one power outage (part of Bs. As. life) no air conditioning for several hours and very inconsistent WiFi.

Fun in Buenos Aires
IMPORTAT! Not a good hotel for people with disabilities. The hotel, like the rest of the city's tourist industry, doesn't really understand the demands for quality customer service that more affluent customers from the United States and Europe are accustomed to. Overall, the hotel is in desperate need for a thorough renovation. Hotel pictures posted around the Internet look fantastic, the reality is much different. I was there for Christmas all the way to a couple of days after the New Year's. The hotel's reception called every room during the New Year's Day at 2 pm. asking when we would leave our rooms so they could clean. This is in regardless of the "no molestar" signs we had posted on our doors. Pretty unreal! They woke us up after a long party-night to find out when our room would be empty for clean up. The front desk staff seemed incapable of enforcing rules for quietness. Groups of people, other customers, would be loud and screaming until well past 3 am. The hotel's breakfast was boring and the same day after day, after day. Wi-Fi connection was horribly slow and it would take me a long time to simply go on FB or check my e-mails. There was a couple of times that when I arrived at the hotel late at night, there was nobody to open the door (I guessed closed for safety reasons) and I had to patiently wait until front desk staff showed up. The swimming pool's water looked unclear and I stayed away from it. The steam room was out of order too!

Disappointing Stay
I saw a bit of negative reviews, but decided to give it a try based on the very low price. First, I encountered one staff member who was unpleasant to say the least. If I had not met with other staff who turned out to be much nicer--possibly showing this staff member had a problem with me personally--I would have given a lower review. Because of the structure of the shower, the entire floor is stone, which is not the most pleasant to walk on barefoot. I also slipped twice coming out of the shower into the main bedroom. Hoped the TV would have at least one English language option and there was none. I was given a room facing the street and despite it being a small street, I heard all the street noise. Worse, I heard my neighbours. All the time. Doing everything from talking to laughing and more. I would not stay again.

Great location, great design hotel
I stayed in room 307 Good location walking distance from Banks District and Puerto Madero areas. If you like design buildings, this is your place. Hollow interior with see-through roof which is also bottom of the spa pool. Also a gym, and another pool in the back garden area. Rooms are very clean, good bed and pillows. A bit spartan maybe with cement floors and few furniture items. Modern "rainfall in a fish tank" shower feature. Room and hotel needs just a bit of comfort and quality details to be perfect. Maybe needs a lively bar/coffee shop in the lower ground. Internet (wifi) is free with routers in every floor, but I had some room connection issues most of the time; had to work on the -empty- lower ground breakfast area. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Maybe a bit on the informal side, which you might as well prefer. Overall, a good hotel, very decently priced.

This hotel was of a very modem design, but whether it was materials or poor maintanance, it is a little rough around the edges. As others have stated, the wifi is unpredictable and not always stable. Still a good bargain and the pool and spa area are nice.
