Little Rowans is bright and spacious with everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable holiday.
Split over two floors with your own garden, decking area and parking space, now with a type 2 electric vehicle charging point. Perfect for couples wanting to relax or here to enjoy the outdoors life.

Located in the picturesque village of Poughill on the edge of Bude, with an excellent pub at walking distance serving great food and local ales.

The lounge, kitchen and dining area are all open plan, with bi fold doors opening onto the garden, bringing the outdoors in. There's a SMART TV and Wifi is free to all guests. Underfloor heating throughout the downstairs.
The kitchen is well equipped with all modern appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine/tumble dryer.

Upstairs you'll find a large sun flooded ensuite bedroom with a super king size bed, seating area and Juliette balcony, looking out on to open fields. Downstairs there is a large shower room, just perfect for when you come off the beach.
Staying in winter, there's a log burning stove, and underfloor heating for those cosy nights in.

The beaches and town are only 5 minutes away by car, 10 minutes by bike and 15 minutes easy walking. Here is where you will find the town centre, shops and some great restaurants.

Public footpaths are everywhere taking you to the coast, so it’s a perfect base for walkers. Take a stroll along the canal, which has been our guests favourite walk or, choose one of Bude's four main beaches. There are endless water sports and Little Rowans is an ideal base for exploring by foot, bike or car.

June stay at Little Rowans
Lovely cottage, well appointed with charming garden. We loved the location for various walks along the coast. Pub just up the road was perfect for two of our dinners. We’d stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks Helen and Andy for hosting us.

An absolute gem
Myself and my partner stayed here for four nights and couldn't fault the property at all. Excellent location (5minute drive to main beaches and shops) and the furnishings we're all to a high standard. We ended up liking it so much we opted to stay in and cook most nights.

What a gem
Helen and Andy have thought of everything to make your stay at Little Rowan as relaxing as possible. They were fantastic hosts and very accommodating. I loved the garden and the views from the bedroom and downstairs.

Little Rowans -Bude
Little Rowans is a gem of a property in a great location. Everything, equipment wise, was at hand. The garden sun-spot was an added bonus! The property is a stone's throw from the welcoming local pub and a short car ride from several great beaches. The hosts, Helen and Andy were equally fabulous! We had an amazing stay.!

Great stay, lovely property
The accomodation is excellent, spotlessly clean, really lovely. We had a nice hamper on arrival, the owner Helen met us when we got there and explained everything clearly. A short walk into Bude (20 mins) and a great location for exploring North Cornwall. A guide is provided which provides some excellent recommendations for eating out and places to go. Would recommend, if you are thinking of booking don't hesitate!

Peaceful and Relaxing Little Rowans
Little Rowans is a beautifully presented property in a most picturesque village within walking distance of Bude. The house is immaculate, well equipped and beautifully quiet. The furnishings are extremely tasteful and the garden is delightful. Helen could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Loverly property
Very clean and spacious accommodation for the two of us with parking right outside. As the weather wasn’t too kind to us it was nice to come back and light the log burner which made the place very cosy. Facilities were all of high quality and everything was thought of. Highly recommend The Bank restaurant in Bude excellent food and very reasonable. Also the welcome pack with cream tea was much appreciated.

We absolutely loved this property. Beautifully finished to the highest standards with a huge comfortable bed in a lovely peaceful village. Only 15-20 minute walk to Bude with all it has to offer. It is also close to the coastal paths and it’s spectacular views. Great to return to after a day out, open the bi-fold doors and enjoy the lovely garden.

Wow!!
As soon as we arrived we fell in love with Little Rowans! We have never stayed in such a well presented property. It smelt lovely as soon as you walked in and everything looked like brand new! The space is well thought out with everything and more thaat you could ever need. Helen and Andy were very friendly and helpful when we had a query. Would higky recommend and hope to return in the future. 5* plus!!

A Blissful Week
First class in every way. So beautifully thought out and presented Little Rowans is exceptional. The gravel garden is a lovely spot for an evening drink with the bees humming in the lavender and views over the countryside. The house is spacious, light and very comfortable and The Preston Gate, a 5 minute stroll up the lane, does some good food including takeaway. Our 2nd stay here. We came back for more! This part of North Cornwall feels far from the crowds.

We arrived at Little Rowans to a very warm welcome from Helen, who was very helpful in suggesting walks and restaurants. And were touched by the kind gesture of the Vegan treats left for us. The property was amazing. Comfortable, very clean and well equipped with lovely attention to detail. We really enjoyed the garden and the beautiful views over the countryside, if it’s peace and quiet you’re looking for this is the place for you. We were able to walk the coastline and in to Bude which was ideal for us. Thanks Helen and Andy for a great stay.

Perfect....
What a find........We spent 4 nights in this fabulous house and wished that we could have stayed longer. Located in a lovely village we had views across open fields and only 1.5 miles from the centre of Bude. It was spacious, comfortable, beautifully furnished and lacked for nothing. Helen and Andy made us feel very welcome and the homemade cream tea left for us was delicious.As an added bonus there was a Beer Fest in the friendly local Preston Arms pub over the weekend.

Fantastic stay at Little Rowans
We had a wonderful stay at Little Rowans and highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Bude. From the outset, the hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and welcoming stay. Prior to our arrival, they sent us a comprehensive "touchstay guide" that included detailed information about the property and a variety of activities and sights to enjoy in Bude. This guide was incredibly useful and added a personal touch to our experience. The property itself was spotless and well-maintained. On arrival, we were delighted to find a complimentary hamper filled with delicious Cornish treats, which was a thoughtful and generous gesture. The house was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hosts provided essentials such as milk, tea, and coffee, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and the attention to detail and hospitality from the hosts made it even more special. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

We've just got back from the most amazing stay at Little Rowens. The perfect place for a couple or sole traveller. The property is spacious, clean and has everything you need. All the furnishings in the property are high end, no expense has been spared. Helen and Andy (the hosts) are so welcoming and want you to have a nice stay, and they'll go out of their way to make you feel at home. They only live next door so if you need anything they can easily help out. For instance, I mentioned to Helen that we were into outdoor swimming and then later that day she had brought round a wild swimming book for us to borrow, which was so thoughtful of her. There are also some local guide books and info inside the property for you to use too. Make sure you download the property app before you go too, as it's got loads of useful local info to help you plan your trip, as well as info about what the property contains too! My partner and I stayed here for 1 week and used it as our base whilst we travelled about during the day. It was always so nice to come back at the end of the day. It's just a 5 min drive into Bude town centre or around a 30 min walk. There's also a nice pub 5 min walk up the road that does good food. We really can't wait to come back to Bude again soon and wouldn't hesitate to stay at Little Rowens again, it was a very special place.

Pleasant stay at Little Rowans Bude
One of the best holiday properties we have stayed in. The house and it’s setting are delightful and is equipped with all that you need for a holiday. We had a warm welcome from the owners who live on site and the dream tea was delicious.

A Week at Little Rowans
A marvellous place to stay. The property was immaculate and had every comfort and convenience. Helen was so helpful and welcoming. We love this area and know it well. If you like walking and a fantastic coastline this is a good location for lots of exploration without the crows.

A Hidden Gem
'Little Rowans' is in my opinion 5*, the property is beautifully decorated,immaculately clean and of very high standard. Helen & Andy are the perfect hosts, from booking right through to leaving, the process was seamless, they were always available to give recommendations and information on the area if required but also discreet and left use to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the property. I could have easily stayed another week or two here and would love to return in the future.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation
Little Rowans is an amazing getaway home from home. A new build with a layout that has been meticulously thought out . On top of this, Helen provides so many beautiful touches to make you feel special from the home made jam, scone with clotted cream on arrival to the fresh cut flowers on the dining table. Although we had a couple of miserable days, it still felt welcoming when you walked back through the door looking out onto the tranquil garden. The location is also wonderful, so near to Bude and all the other fabulous sites to go and explore. Helen also had everything in place to make us feel safe throughout our stay because of Covid 19 still looming over us. Thank you so much Helen, it was lovely to meet you.

Calm in unprecedented times
The accommodation was exactly as described and our hosts were wonderful - albeit communicating with each other at 2m distance.
