Pictures don’t always tell a hundred stories
Picked the place due to location and the wonderful pictures on VRBO. Pictures and reality in this case are not even close . I missed the nicely decorated rooms that is posted on VRBO! !! The apartment is very conveniently located in central Pest. Unfortunately during my stay it was super hot in Budapest ,93-96 everyday. The apartment has no AC which understandable, usually it isn’t this hot , but I was miserable every night, since it does not cool down much.

Vivi was amazing! Such a wonderful host who left us a welcome basket, explained everything clearly and had provided us with a lovely, clean apartment. The location is also great - within walking distance of the river, the palace, numerous transport stops, great places to eat and drink. The only negative for us was that it was in the heatwave and there was no aircon, but Vivi left us with 2 portable fans and the apartment had a ceiling fan. Thank you so much for everything Vivi!!

This is a perfect spot for 2 looking to enjoy all that Budapest has to offer. Steps from subway and other transit and easy walking distance to many sites. Vivi is a terrific host. Highly, highly recommended!

My Week in Budapest
This apartment was a perfect place to stay for my daughter and I in Budapest. It is centrally located offering easy access to Vaci Utca, the Grand Market, and a short walk to the Bacillica area. There is a shopping market across the street as well as many restaurants and cafes close by. The apartment itself was very cozy and clean with all the amenities need for our stay. The beds were comfortable with nice pillows and linen. Dealing with Viviana was easy and seamless. She was always available by text and made our checkin and checkout very easy. I will be staying here on my next visit to Budapest.

Tiny studio apartment
This tiny studio/efficiency apartment is in a great location. The host is very nice and provided great directions and recommendations. As soon as we checked in we realized there were not enough towels and she brought some over the next day. However we did not get to use them because we left after the first night even though we had paid for 7 nights. The place was just too uncomfortable. It is NOT a one bedroom apartment. It is a tiny studio with a loft. The stairs for the loft are in the middle of the apt and it is difficult to not bump into them especially if you are sleeping downstairs. The stairs are literally by the foot of the bed. The beds are very uncomfortable. The only separate space with a door is the bathroom so everyone can hear any noise made by the person in the different sleeping area. It just feels cramped. We were two adults sleeping in different areas and we could not think about staying there for a week after getting no sleep the first night. We found a lovely one bedroom apartment very close to this one and only wished we had gone there to begin with.

Great place to stay for Budapest visit!
I stayed here two weeks to visit the city and had a wonderful time. The host was very welcoming, responded quickly to all questions, and kindly left a welcome basket. Self check-in was very fast thanks to clear instructions from Viviana and covered all the apartment amenities and elevator use. Wi-if was very fast. This is a great location right next to the metro with quick transit time to major sights and short walking distance to grocery market/stores along with many other conveniences. The property description accurately describes the apartment and all the amenities. It is a quiet and safe location—very well outfitted for your trip. Highly recommend it to others looking for the best location to stay in Budapest!

Perfect Retreat in the Heart of Budapest
What a terrific find! As a solo traveler I was looking for some quiet time while also having having easy access to all that Budapest has to offer. This place couldn't have been a better fit. The building is gorgeous and because there are residents there it had a terrific vibe to it. The flat itself was so cute with plenty of little spaces to tuck away with a book and a glass of wine while taking in the sounds carried in by a nice cool breeze through the large windows. I spent each night by the window journaling and looking through the days pics. The apartment is exactly as described, don't expect to stand up in the sleeping area which shouldn't be a problem since it's just the bed. There was plenty of lighting throughout, and the multiple fans made it possible to get just the right temp even during a period of volatile weather. It went from quite warm to cold and I had no issues. The place is well stocked and Viviana is an excellent communicator. In addition to the very kind welcome gift, she is diligent about her responses and clearly cares about you having a great experience. I found so much to do within walking distance, public transit was easy to catch from here, and getting to and from the airport was a cinch. I loved the old elevator that works far better than the modern one in my office building in the States! If you are looking for a more authentic experience in a phenomenal location, this is it!

Wonderful place to stay. We were in Budapest for 8 days and the condo was close to everything we wanted to do and see. Great restaurants close by and an Aldi supermarket 3 mins away. Had a great time.

Had a good stay here. Got in easily, good price, as described. Could have been cleaner and had to buy toilet roll as there wasn’t any in the flat. Over all though it really didn’t detract and had a great time. Would stay again.

Excellent Location and Cozy
It is a perfect central location for Budapest. Viviana was great in helping me get comfortable so I could get off the road and out of hostels. The apartment was very clean and plenty of space to sit down and eat or do some work. Very close in proximity to Madal Cafe for a nice coffee and snack, and plenty of nice restaurants or street food. An ideal place to stay when it is cooler out, but can be a bit warm in the evening without A/C after it’s been hot all day. Easy fix is to just stay out and see the city and enjoy sleeping in the mornings. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Budapest.

Nice and quiet but in the heart of Budapest!
Nice apartment in a great location! Located in 4th floor interior of a historic Budapest building, with private entrance, convenient elevator (lift), and view of courtyard. (Entry requires a quick keycode to release the door's electromagnetic lock, which took some practice to get used to but was easy once we figured it out.) Most apartments in the building appear to be residential with one part of one floor serving as a boutique hotel. Nice and quiet but in the heart of Budapest! The apartment is clean & colorful. Washing machine and WiFi were convenient (we didn't need to use the dishwasher but good to know it was there). The bedroom requires walking upstairs, which could pose an issue for less mobile visitors and, as others have stated, there is a low ceiling up there. The pull-out sofas could sleep four more, albeit in very close quarters. Everything was just like in the photos. Viviana was a wonderful host with fast communication, clear instructions for getting to apartment, and she gave great advice for enjoying Budapest. The location is the best, in the heart of the Pest side of Budapest, one block from Vaci utca, the main tourist district. It's in walking distance to the Old Market, Rudas Baths and Danube waterfront, Jewish Quarter, the ruin pubs (the Sunday morning market at Szimpla is phenomenal!), and everywhere else in downtown Budapest. The location is also ideal for access to the bus and all metro lines, and was very easy to get to and from the airport for very little money. We couldn't have wanted a better location for our visit to Budapest and would come back to Viviana's apartment again in a heartbeat.

AMAZING PLACE
This apartment was a pleasure to stay in. The location was great, right in the center of the city. The subway is about 25 meters from the building, making it easy to access the train or the airport (Bus 100E to the Airport, going every 20 minutes). Its a historical place with well functioning facilities despite the age of the place. Our gratitude to our hosts for leaving us a complimentary bottle of wine, and taking care of everything within the apartment to make it warm and lived in. If we are in Budapest again, we will certainly ask to stay here again. Highly recommended. -Yuriy & Irina (USA)

Aaaah Budapest!
Apartment was convenient to metro, tram, train transportation as well as lots of good walking! Viviana was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had as well as providing lots of information on Budapest; the bed was very comfortable; kitchen was pretty adequate but could have provided sugar (we bought some and left it there) and cooking or olive oil (we just used our butter!!); we liked the loft bedroom but guests should be forewarned you can’t stand up fully near the bed—could be an issue for some people! All in all we enjoyed it, loved Széchenyi baths and long walks, and hope to return to Budapest and the apartment .. À bientôt Viviana! carol and Martin

Very disappointing
I will start with the positive which is the easy access to the metro right out in front of the front door and easy access to every need, restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, liquor store etc. I was very hopeful about this VRBO because of Viviana’s quick responses to my messages prior to our visit, but unfortunately that’s when communication stopped. The next communication was asking when we were leaving. There was no information waiting for us at the VRBO. It would have been helpful to have been told the metro was not working on weekends or after 8:30PM, to turn on the hot water heater for the shower etc. The directions to her place were very unclear. I felt the place itself was misrepresented in the description on VRBO. For example, the “1 bedroom” was a loft, 12 steep steps up with a railing on only one side to an area with a 4 feet tall ceiling. I would not recommend it to senior citiezens like us. Also, the deck/patio mentioned on VRBO was an inner courtyard for the entire building 4 floors down and without furniture. Other issues: the shower started flooding the base with my first shower so that the drain had to be pulled out and large hunks of hair removed. The coffee machine was not working and the light in the living room was burned out with no replacement bulbs available leaving the living room unusable. It was a very disappointing experience.

We loved the property, but didn’t have WiFi so very challenging to get into. Suggestions for the owner would be to put the apt. number next to the door and to specify that it’s located inside the Hotel Leo Panzio ... it’s hard for even taxi drivers to find.

The owner, Vivianna, met us upon our early arrival. She was very helpful from our initial contact with her until our departure. The apartment is very centrally located, easy walking to all the major tourist attractions. Metro is right outside the door as are the buses. Kitchen was well stocked with basic necessities. Apartment was nice, cozy and quiet.

Great little place
