Overall it is very quiet around here all the time hence.
Ideal for personal retreats.
On the clear nightsky the cabin deck is excellent for stargazing ...

Located right on James river, and less than 1 mile from Satchidananda Ashram – Yogaville, and less than 1.3 miles from the LOTUS (Light Of Truth Universal Shrine tample), the Lotus View Retreat property offers easy access to the spiritual center of "Integral Yoga International" and direct access the legacy of renowned Yogi Sri Swami Satchidananda.

Usually, Yogaville offers three delicious mostly vegan all you can eat buffet style meals a day that you can join them for modest fee for breakfast, lunch and supper that is payable right at the reception at the dining hall area on their property. Now the ashram is working on the renovations of interior and temporary unavailable for the guests.

In case you are open to go pure veg. at times - I would highly recommend going there at least once as they provide in my opinion the best veg. choice in the whole of central VA. Based on my own travel experience - vegetarians usually know how to cook for themselves :)


Yogaville also has "Mandala cafe"+ little health food store on their property where you can buy some necessities health food version except produce...

For more substantial shopping you need to drive about 25 min.to nearest towns of Scottsville or Dyllwin to Food Lion Supermarket.


Other Things to Note

I also would like to add that during this time I follow extra precautions for the safety of my guests by adding extra disinfecting procedures to regular thorough housekeeping routine and by doing my best to allow few days in between the bookings while airing place out well during that time.

Beautiful Log Cabin with a separate bedroom with queen-size bed, and a sleeping/meditation loft, full kitchen, full bath, a semi-wraparound deck and a covered porch.

The cabin deck is excellent for stargazing on the clear night sky.

There is a laundry machine/dryer available for stays longer than 5 days.
