Everything in the description of this cabin is accurate. Wonderful, secluded, and clean all while being close to town!!! I would stay here over and over
We had the opportunity stay a few nights and it was amazing. It is so peaceful sitting on the porch. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be booking again
Nice private location that was clean and nicely put together. If you like to stay in a cabin that is not surrounded by others and well put together, this one is for you. Hot tub and location was perfect.
we have stayed in this cabin a couple times now and it is a nice quiet spot close to town. We come to Bryson City area every year and enjoy the Deep Creek Tubing. Good Place and Nice People
We loved Gerty’s Getaway. It was the perfect size and an overall wonderful stay. Karen made everything so easy and was so kind. We are already planning to come back!
This lovely cabin is nestled in the woods yet super close to downtown Bryson City. The cabin has everything you could need for your stay and we will definitely come back again.
My family had a great long weekend stay! Everything is as described. It’s close to downtown BC as well as other area attractions as listed. Quiet, comfortable beds, and so convenient. We will stay here again.
We loved this cabin. We were able to do things in Bryson City and at Deep Creek. We enjoyed fire pit and hot tub in the evening. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to do and my daughter family did camp some, but was up in cabin to enjoy the evening time. This was a less stressful trip than when everyone has tent camped. I would stay here again.
This cabin was perfect for a long weekend in Bryson City! The location is very private, but close to many activities and beautiful scenery. So Clean! I always prepare for the worst (esp being pet friendly) and NO need-clean & very well thought out.
Hope we will make another trip soon! Thanks
The cabin is absolutely gorgeous but my only suggestion would be is the replace the living room furniture. It is so uncomfortable especially for older adults it’s very hard to sit down and get up from the couch and the chairs all have log arms that are uncomfortable to lean against. A couple of nice recliners where you can sit read watch tv and be comfortable would be nice. But otherwise the cabin has everything and more that you need for your stay 🤗 everything is very clean well stocked secluded location🤗The beds are comfortable love that each room had access to the back deck.
This was a perfect place for our family of 5 to explore Bryson City and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We were celebrating our son's 14th birthday, and he wanted to go hiking, mountain biking, and fishing. He and his 11-year-old brother had their own bedroom and used the bathroom on the hall, while my husband and I had the master bedroom with ensuite bath, and there was room for our 20-month-old daughter to sleep in the pack and play in the corner of our room. The front and back porches were great places to sit and relax, very peaceful. The grownups and older kids really enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch while the baby napped, and after our first trip into town, we had the route memorized. It was so quick and easy, and all the kids loved Bryson City for the train, museums, cute shops and restaurants, and fishing from the riverbanks. It was only a few minutes' drive to the national park for hiking or to the Tsali mountain bike trails. We could not have asked for a better experience!
We cannot say enough good things about our stay! The cabin was absolutely perfect! It had all the amenities we could've asked for- well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds with soft linens and towels. It was SO CLEAN and neat. Plenty of space for us to spread out in and store all of our belonings while still having the cozy feel. The hot tub and fire pit were also a big hit with us and our kids. We can't wait to stay again! If going to The Polar Express the location can't be beat- it's a short, 5 minute drive to all the action and downtown Bryson City! We would absolutely stay here again and can't wait to visit in the summer. Thank you so much for taking such good care of your property and keeping it up so nicely. The description is 100% accurate. It really is a treasure to stay in.
The only thing that made me slightly nervous was the hill up to the cabin. For us Eastern North Carolinians, it was very steep and we had to put our van in "snow mode" to get up the hill, even though there wasn't any snow. I'm not sure our van could've handled the hill in snowy/icy conditions.
We booked this for a family getaway. This cabin is close to several hikes and waterfalls very close to Downtown Bryson City and Cherokee Beds were comfortable kitchen was well stocked. I will definitely book this cabin again
What a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy nature with friends or family! Although we were only a couple of miles from Bryson City, the cabin was nestled in the woods and completed secluded. We spent a lot of time on the back porch just enjoying the quiet & each other’s company. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The cabin was just adorable and someone put a lot of time & effort into making it a welcoming oasis.
Cabin was perfect. So clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our hikes every day. The cabin was close to everything we wanted to do. Escaping the stifling Southern Alabama heat was well worth the drive.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was super comfortable and convenient. Bryson City is where it is at….less crowded and more of a small town feel but with still enough places to eat, drink, shop, etc.
