Welcome to King's River Cabin, a beautifully appointed log home nestled along the scenic Oconaluftee River. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat offers an idyllic setting just minutes from both Downtown Cherokee and Downtown Bryson City. King's River Cabin is the perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts, particularly anglers and nature lovers. Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

Trout haven
We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful. And dead in the middle of trout trout country. The host was very attendant to our needs and very informative. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. I would recommend this property to anybody.

Great stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We reserved thru VRBO and all communication prior to day of stay came through VRBO however final day check in info came thru the property MGMT company and went to my trash/spam file so I didn't get the check in info. Once I got into the cabin I only saw 1 bed and 1 bath so I had to call back into the emergency line to get directions on how to get to the other room and bathroom. You have to go thru the garage. I would have expected some welcome book to let you know but that wasn't the case. However after those few hiccups on day one the actual cabin was nice and the view to the river out front was beautiful. We had a great stay and enjoyed our time. Oh the heat situation in the upstairs was less than ideal so whoever stays up there should be one that likes it cooler in room if you go in winter.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The picture of the cabin is deceiving. This is NOT the whole space you are paying for. It is a "duplex" style set-up, and only the "bottom" right of the cabin was the space included. One bedroom/ One Bathroom. Luckily no one else was staying in the other part of the house/ cabin during our stay, so we at least had the place to ourselves. The space between neighboring properties is also deceiving. No "seclusion" at this cabin... There was no propane to use the fireplace, the grill worked, but was clearly on its last leg and the cabin was filled with cobwebs, both visible and hiding in the cabinets with the dishes. Make sure you wash what you plan to use first. Being directly on the river is what sold us, and glad we had the water feature to make up for the other disappointments.

Super awesome! We were visiting family in the area. The cabin was cute and perfect for what we needed. We would stay there again. We only wished the outdoor garbage was empty before we got there, but really a great experience.

Wonderful Family Experience
Will absolutely be staying here again. It was my wife and I and 2 kids under 7 years old and it was perfect. Plenty of room outside for the kids to run and play, close to the river so we could fish, and very quiet. Woke up a couple of mornings to find elk walking across the river and through the yard. Highly recommend.

What a view!
We loved the cabin and the wonderful access to the river. Thought when it was listed as 2 bedrooms that would be great for our family. However 2nd bedroom is through it's own access through the garage--we weren't comfortable with that as we a teen and preteen. Would be great for two seperate couples to share or if our girls were older.

Nice weekend. Location to river made it able to come n go to house with ease. Pullout couch not great sleeping but other beds nice. Neighbor informed us about burning ban, but she wasn’t worried about her dogs charging at us.

The cabin was quite cozy and cute. There is only one split heating/AC unit for the entire cabin which heats the main living area well, but the bedroom was a bit cold. There aren't any closets to hang clothes or any extra blankets. It had a fairly stocked kitchen with just about every pot/pan/utensil I needed to cook. The bed was fabulous - best sleep I've had.

The River Cabin
Had a great time at the cabin. My only issue was locating the cabin because it was on an unmarked street. The directions given to me by Yellow Rose were spot on. Be cautious when entering Dam Rd as you dip into the driveways. Great for two couples or if you want the kids to stay upstairs as the entrance to the second bedroom area is through the garage access. Will return soon for additional water activities.

Quaint Little Place
Enjoyed our stay after issue with check-in. Would have been nice to hear from property manager when I contacted emergency number for check-in information. Thank you to let friendly gentleman I got ahold of the next morning about mixup with rental agreement. Overall, it was nice to sit back and relax in the little cottage we rented. We got a little bit of fishing done in between the rain.

The cabin had a nice view of you like a river view , but the inside was not so great . The carpet had stains and they were wet it smelt like wet mold in the down stairs bedroom , stove didn’t work good oven had to prop it open just to get hot , washer was broke would not was clothes at all , and microwave was not working either we got one 2 days later . I wouldn’t rent again .

Beautiful cabin tucked away near the mountains
We loved our visit to this property! It was close to the mountains, shopping and casino. The cabin had everything needed and really liked the split layout. The river was super close and very peaceful. The only frustrating thing about our stay was the neighbors dogs on both sides of us did not once use a leash. The dogs were constantly in the yard or running in front of our vehicles when coming or going barking at us. I was very worried I was going to hit one. The neighbors didn't seem to care, they just stared at us and let their dogs chase after us.

It was clean just outdated. Id probably come back when the water levels return...
