"A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. "I have stayed at the Royal Victoria Hotel on a few previous occasions over the past 15 years. I was really looking forward to returning - and as soon as I walked in I felt good about being back. And I wasn't let down in my expectations- the check in was pleasant and easy and when we got to the room we we were really impressed with the space and mountain view (first time I had tried the 'executive' room option - it was worth it) We dined at the bar restaurant that evening and the food was good, and again the staff very pleasant. Breakfast next day was busy as a coach load of departing guest seemed to be bustling to eat up quickly - but even so, the staff did a good job of keeping everyone happy and served on time. We stayed at breakfast a bit longer and enjoyed a slower breakfast and thought the food was very nice - especially the quality of the bread. We chatted to the staff a bit too - who were all very friendly. In all - I consider that for the very fair price asked for a nights stay, that the hotel provides a really very pleasant experience for staying in the area. Absolutely would plan to return some day."
