Nice hotel. I liked the location, although not that central, it was really near the station and it meant we explored a lovely part of Bruges we mightn't have otherwise got to. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops nearby.

Great period hotel
Great period experience, quiet, great garden views, just enough of out of the way but 10 min walk to centre of town. If you like 5 star then do not book thi hotel as it has old world charm and small plastic barth room, which is very functional. We like a period experience.

Good Hotel for Bruges visit by car.
This hotel dates from the 1800s and is quirky, verging towards shabby chic rather than business type. Location was perfect for a visit to Bruges, being down a small quiet side lane next to Minnewater park and lake and just minutes walk from the centre. Car parking is in the hotel grounds. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean and everything worked. Reception staff were helpful but only on duty during the day, you let yourself in and out of the front door using the room key at other times. Breakfast was the usual continental selection perfectly good. If you want a quiet hotel very close to the centre of Bruges, with car parking then this is a good choice.

Tranquil but close to the action
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a great location - in a quiet spot with a water park nearby - but only a short walk to the town centre with all the sights and shopping. It has the bonus of parking on site, a garden you can sit and relax in and provides a hot breakfast. If we go back to Bruges we would happily stay here again.

Quiet Hotel with character
Hotel is quiet but located within easy reach of all that we wanted to see in Bruges. Building is full of character and we enjoyed its age related quirkiness very much. The staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and worked hard to make us feel welcome and our stay very comfortable. Breakfast - Its the first time I have been told we didn't eat enough :). We arrived by car - it was easy to find and having onsite parking was great. Close to station if your walking. We will stay again.

Cute historic option in Brugge
Cute historic Duke's mansion and garden right next to the Minnewater lake and park and a short walk away from the main traffic areas. Innkeepers were welcoming and helpful. Room was smallish but quite functional. Breakfast included was not too big but had a nice mix of options. No a/c so it got a bit warm at night during a warm spell in Belgium but the fan in the room kept it reasonably comfortable.

Old world charm
An older style property in a great location. Quiet, close and easy walking distance to the railway station. 25 minutes walk and you are in the centre of Brugge. A good range of cafes/bars/restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Good continental breakfast with a hot food choice available. Attentive staff but not obtrusive. If back in the area will return here.

RELAXING HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE
The hotel is in a very peaceful yet handy location with a good breakfast provided and very helpful staff. Only a 10 minute walk to the station, should you wish to do a bit of train-hopping to other towns, as we did during our four-night stay.

Quietly does it in Brugge
Great place to stay in Brugge if you want slightly off the beaten track and quiet enough to hear a pin drop. Only 5/10 mins from the main town centre, would stay there again.

highly recommended - little gem in Bruges
it's true that owners aren't always there to welcome you due to their office hours (reception closing at 4pm) but they made it easy for us to check-in in their absence, info on the hotel and the town was also provided and the overall stay was very pleasant. I would definitively recommend this hotel: it's a little secluded gem settled in a green and quiet pocket of Bruges. Easy to reach if you arrive by car and great spot to start exploring the town by foot. Very good breakfast, well kept environment and clean rooms with modern bathrooms despite the shabby-chic first impression you may get of the premises.

Great find
The hotel is 19th century and protected so retains a number of it's features. Easy to find and park, good location and away from the centre, comfy and friendly staff and would definitely recommend.

Comfortable quiet starting point to explore Bruges
If coming in from the train, this is a great location. It's a 5 minute walk from the station, and while off the beaten path to an extent, proved to be a perfect beginning and ending point for our wanderings. The hotel itself is quaint, comfortable and clean. It certainly feels old, in a good way. The only real qualm we had was that the bathroom in our room was a little weird. Served its purpose just fine though. Bed was comfortable, the breakfast is great and the location is very quiet. The center of the city is about a 10 minute walk. Overall, I think the Egmond is a great value and resides in a very nice location making it easy to see the city, and get back and forth from the Train station without having to go by taxi, or figure out alternative transportation. While it is not a 5 star resort hotel, it was perfect for us, and for the price offered a great value in a near perfect package. One thing though, if you will be arriving after around 5 or 6 in the afternoon, make sure to call so that they can leave your key out at the desk, and give you the door code to get in.

A peaceful retreat
This hotel is in a lovely quiet location, no passing cars, yet it is within easy walk from the train (and bus) station and the centre. The building and furnishings etc are nicely old fashioned, in keeping with the character of the town. When I am next in Bruges I would want to stay in this hotel again. What better recommendation?
