"Usually when I stay in smaller hotels in Germany, they look very old-fashioned and are not very clean. Landhaus Sixtmühle was just the opposite. My one-person room was extremely clean and modern. On top of that, the staff was very friendly and everything from the moment I checked in until the time I checked out went SO smoothly. I can highly recommend this place!"

"The room was just about "OK". The surcharge for double occupancy over single occupancy for a double room was unreasonably high. Finally, when we informed the hotel three days in advance that we would NOT be having breakfast on our last morning, they still insisted on charging us for two breakfast, which was very upsetting."

"In der Ankündigung war von Kaffee und Obst in der Gemeinschaftsküche die Rede... Nichts von allem war vorhanden. Eine Toilette war kaputt, dadurch nur ein komplettes Bad für das gesamte Haus (ca. 20 Personen). Haus ist auf dem Berg gelegen - für Radfahrer schwierig. Alles in allem sehr einfach und anonym. "

"The location is quite remote, meaning it’s easy to get by car and a bit more complicated by train. But that’s what I wanted. The rooms are excellent. New and smell fresh wood. Mine had a little kitchen with all the cups, plates and forks. Breakfast - traditional German, no problems. Good coffee and fresh eggs. Very quite. Maybe the only disadvantage is that it’s hard to reserve it and price is a bit high, but it’s so worth it. "

When I was booking the room it was written that room has air conditioning and when I arrived I asked about air condition. I was laughed at by one owner that I requested about it because they don`t have it and they don`t need to have it. When I went down to the reception the wife`s owner asked me if everything is ok. I complained about lack of air conditioning and she reacted in the same...

"Viele Zimmer, eine großer, sehr gemütlicher Gastraum, ein weiterer Aufenthaltsraum (Konferenzraum), eine zweckmäßig eingerichtete, geräumige Küche, eine super Lage und ein umsichtiger, überaus zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Was will man mehr? Wir (Familie mit 20 Personen zwischen 6 Monaten und 89 Jahren) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Und dass man kein oder nur ein schlechtes Nest hat war gut!"

"A poor choice by us. No sense of comfort after a long drive along the Alpenstrasse. Old mis-matched and shabby furniture. I’ve stayed in worst places but don’t remember when. Poor choice of food (breakfast) in cramped dining conditions. Think they were doing their best, but just not a good standard of accommodation "
