"After reading some reviews I was doubtful but there was no need. Lovely large bright dbl room, (4th floor) spotless linens and bathroom, large screen tv, can't fault my room for the price. Pleasant and helpful staff in reception and bar, dog friendly and gorgeous wooded grounds for walks and so handy for racecourse. Negative: limited food menu and 10am check out, late check out extra charge, but would definitely stay again."

"Hotel rooms at the back of a large traditional local stone public house. Very good standard of room. Easy to park car park of a good size. Bus stops directly outside the hotel. 15mins walk to town centre. Check-in though was too slow, using staff that were occupied at the bar. Staff very friendly when eventually the lady arrived. Check-out also suffered by using staff from the pub area, although early in the morning the wait was not long."
