"Certainly not for everyone, but if you’re up for a unique stay with a rustic feel, Stone Cottage is great. The house was well appointed (even spices, coffee filters etc), clean and oozed authenticity of the old West. The farm animals, especially Calamity Jane, were a huge plus, and it was fun to help feed them and hear about the history of the homestead. Super quiet, waking up to the call of the roosters. The owner, Joe, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Communication was great...

"Overall a great 6day trip. Gravel drive way is good for cars and trucks, not great for full size motorcycles. It's up hill with a tight 90 degree turn. The place is small and cute. kitchette is minimal with small counter, little fridge, microwave, toater oven, toaster and 2 place electric hotplate. small sink is shared by the bathroom in the transistion hallway. Bathroom had a good size stall shower and plenty of hot water. we enjoyed the seating outside overlooking the valley. Most of the day...

"We loved having an open fire to heat the home (on top of the central heat of course) it created an amazing ambiance for Christmas time! The house backs right up to the edge of the forest so it is great for spontaneous hikes with the family! "

But we were able to anticipate this and that made all the difference. The grounds were quiet and well maintained. the bed was probably the most comfortable bed ive ever slept on, on any vacation. our host was super accommodating when i needed to shift our dates a bit due to a mistake on my part. I would recommend this gem to anyone"
