"My husband and I enjoyed a weekend at the cabin. We found it clean, comfortable and well equipped. We brought food and didn't feel the need to drive anywhere. We popped a bottle of wine and grilled steaks on the charcoal grill. Caution it is a very small grill. The road to the house and driveway were a bit daunting and I was grateful we arrived during daylight. Quite steep. I'd be cautious arriving or leaving in the dark. As other reviewers warned, they have let the landscaping go which is a shame because it has so much potential, but I didn’t mind. The place itself is very clean and smells nice. "This little house was amazing. We and our two little puppers really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautifully appointed and the deck was super to sit out on and enjoy the one of the many rainstorms that occurred. There are three wineries within 18 minutes. There are many little towns close by as well as Front Royal. We are excited about coming back again. "

"6 adults just spent a relaxing weekend here. House was quiet, very clean, well-stocked with coffee, teas, soap, house slippers, and all the basic necessities. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace (host even provided Duraflame), beautiful mountain views from the patio, and saw many bright stars at night. Be careful if driving at night as it is a steep winding climb up the mountain. "Great proximity to hiking, wineries and Front Royal. It’s tucked in the mountain so it’s very quiet. The cabin is nothing fancy but it was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The hot tub was great too."

"If you have kids you'd like to unplug and let bike, fish, or feed farm animals, this is the place! The staff are so kind and friendly. They delivered us fresh eggs our first day! The ponds are stocked so bring rods. Our 9-year-old caught his first largemouth bass all on his own. Also, George Washington stayed in a stone cottage out back. They set up a copy of his writing about it. We highly recommend this hidden gem!"
