"Overall this was very good. Friendly staff. Nice big bedroom. All very clean and tidy...although it could do with updating, especially the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean but tired...although well scrubbed. The breakfast was plentiful with fruit, cereals, pastries, meats, cheese etc We didn't eat evening meal but it looked OK, but we went to old town Brive for a look around. Overall excellent stay and especially considering the low cost."

"Beautiful cottage just outside of town. Had everything we needed to stay comfortably and even cook our own breakfast. Hosts were gracious and conveyed everything we needed to know even though they spoke very little English and we speak NO French! No AC but we were comfortable with the fan even during a heat wave."

"No one was at reception when we went to check in. We waited quite a while for someone to show up. The hotel was dirty. Our room had very dirty, old carpeting. The beds sagged and were very uncomfortable. There’s no a/c in the room, but the hotel’s one saving grace was that they gave us a fan for the room."
