Great place to stay, helpful hosts who keep regular contact during the arrival stage.
Comfy clean room, adequatley heated and tea, coffee kettle included.
Food servered downstairs Wed-Sun ... luckily we stayed the Wednesday because the food was excellent.
Sent instructions after booking. I arrived in the dark to unlit car park and garden. Had to walk in the pitch black to find a key lock. This was half broken and difficult to input a code for the key. The key to the room didn’t work properly so spent 5 minutes trying to open the door. Room 3 smelt terrible as windows were left open with extractor fan from kitchen just outside with strong smell of grease. The carpet covered in stains, bathroom awkward and shower tiny. Bed very uncomfortable.
Went for dinner in the pub which was almost empty. Food not great quality. No facility for breakfast. Not welcoming at all. Never want to return.
It’s a simple straightforward inn. And on initial arrival it ticked the boxes. But the longer we stayed the worse it got.
The windows were full of spiders webs, there were dead insects like ear wigs by the rug next to the kettle table. But the thing that’s done it for me I moved the single bed to the wall to create a gap next to the double bed for a broken travel cot supplied by the inn and when I moved the bed appeared a baggie and what’s clearly a piece of paper rolled up to sniff the contents. Not a prude, I know this stuff happens but when I’ve got my wife and newborn in there and the rooms not even been cleaned to a level that a used bag of drugs has been cleaned up, pretty disgusting to be honest. Just glad my child isn’t crawling around yet!
Staff seem friendly and easy check in, but that’s all that it’s got going for it.
Super clean, spacious comfy room with water, kettle and iron provided. Also big TV.
The only thing that didn’t work for me was the traffic noise as the room was facing the main road and the music from the pub downstairs although that did stop just before 10am.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Key safe access no problem, clean and spacious room.
Situated at the front of the property above the main road, traffic noise was horrendous.
Hot weather (for a change) room was like an oven.
Room was not serviced during 5 day stay. Pub shut on Monday evening and also Tuesday but I could be wrong.
Bar shut Monday through till Thursday. Nobody around. Room was like a grand spare room and the bed was terrible didn't get any sleep. It was cheap but I've stayed in cheaper and had much better. Stains all over the carpet and a wall with bare plaster on the way up. Disappointing, the pictures made it look so much nicer.
