Basic but comfortable.
Basic but comfortable. The twin beds were fine.
The separate bathroom in the twin room was dated and the shower had a lot of black mould, so I decided to go without.
The television remote control was broken.
Otherwise fine.
Really comfortable room, staff at the bar were lovely although we never needed any Healy and were quite self sufficient. Rooms were newly decorated and the beds were great! Couple of issues, the shower head in the Brunel room was leaky (not to the point of it being a major issue) and we think there could do with being a curtain in the small bathroom window for privacy and to help keep it dark. The cold tap in the Clifton room wasn’t working. Overall the stay was great though.
One word of warning, the bar downstairs is noisy till about 11pm. It didn’t bother us as we really enjoyed using the beer garden ourselves (food at the pub is great too!) but if you are sensitive about noise you need to be aware of it
Perfect accommodation for our needs. Two refurbed doubles were big and good with en suite.
The twin room was small and bathroom not en suite, should be priced a lot cheaper. No facilities for breakfast in the morning although lidl a 4 min drive
Everyone very friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated near the hospital which was great as we didn’t have to rush to get there in the morning. Would definitely stay again, beer garden very well thought out.
--> remembering this is 2 star hotel... It included:
--> free overnight parking which is worth a lot in Bristol
--> lovely staff
--> fabulous sized bed
--> really impressed and will certainly return

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Suitable to get your head down, reasonable rate. Clean and friendly.
Pub was great and staff were lovely and very helpful but the room was not good. Most uncomfortable mattress i have slept on in years and no ensuite bathroom
Easy check in process with helpful staff. Room was a good size and relatively well equipped with a good sized bed, 42"TV and an en-suite with a hot shower. The attached pub had a good range of drinks and food.
The staff were all very friendly and the bar and food served was great.
I honestly wished I had read the reviews before booking AND I HOPE YOU DO TOO!
The room is very basic and dated.
The shower is in my opinion dangerous with the risk of scalding highly likely.
The noise from the bar in the room is very evident, but I understand that this is a small independent business and needs the revenue from both as a seasoned traveller I expect this and understand that it will end at some point (closing time) it could be made clear in the description that this will happen.
My room was next door to a room which the occupant had a couple of dogs. I telephoned the bar downstairs to complain about the noise from this room at 10:45 and was told it would be dealt with.
Unfortunately every 90 mins or so the howling and barking began again. After the bar was closed tbere is no one on site to speak to I was told there was a number on the key which I could report problems but this was so faint I couldnt read it.
Overall the nosie within the room was unbearable from the bar, dogs in next room and banging of doors throughout the night.
I can honestly say this was my worst experience of a UK hotel stay and would advise against staying.
There wasnt anyone at the property when i left so I did email them advising them of my dissatisfaction.
Rooms are above a pub and Tuesday is quiz night so there is background noise but once it closes its all quiet after. Room could do with a proper desk to sit at or work at.
