The space
PYTCHAir is a Boeing 727 originally built in 1968. In 1981 it was fitted out as a private jet.
It can now be yours to stay in and experience billionaire luxury.
While the aircraft does not have wings or engines, all other features work including the airstairs, lighting, three toilets, shower, kitchen, fridge and many of the cockpit lights.
The fuselage is mounted on top of ISO shipping containers at Skyline Park, an industrial estate in the Brislington Area of Bristol. The location is very quiet at the weekends, but during office hours there are deliveries in the adjacent yard.
The fuselage is in a secure yard which guests have code-access to. The aircraft can be locked from the inside at night.
Access to the aircraft is up stairs, onto a decking area and then up the "air stairs". On the decking area is a hot tub and outdoor shower for guests to use.
The full-sized fridge-freezer comes stocked with ice which is made onsite by our solar power system.
The entire facility is powered from renewable power, which includes over 300 solar panels and 240kWHr of battery storage within an adjacent building.
The full-sized fridge freezer comes stock with ice which is made from our onsite solar generation system.
Fresh bedding is provided for all guests, as well as branded bathrobes and towels.
In keeping with the core sustainability values of this project the fuselage is powered entirely from renewable energy. In the summer months this is produced by the onsite solar array and supported with a vast 240kwhr battery storage system in the adjacent building.
Guest access
The entire aircraft is for you to use during your stay.
Access is through a secure yard which guests have code-access to. Then up stairs to get to the top of the decked area from which access to the "air stairs" is possible.
Other things to note
Please note the below important notes before bookings
- The aircraft is on an industrial estate which has deliveries in office hours
- The nearest shop is the Co=Operative about ten minutes walk away
- There are few other amenities nearby (but Uber, Deliveroo and Just Eat service the area)
- Heating is from electric heaters throughout the aircraft, which are adjusted individually.
- The interiors are all original from 1981 and restored. In some places there is wear and tear to be expected of a 40+ year-old fit out, including some stains on the cream wool carpet
- The aircraft has a complex lighting system with switches in lots of places - guests are encouraged to play with this and ask questions if stuck
