We stayed in a garden view room, although the room was quite large and had modern styling, aspects of the room required attention.
We had arrived early as we were attending a function and was not able to get an early check in as the room was not ready.
Upon first entry the room was impressive, but went downhill.
The wall had a large crack in the plaster, from the ceiling to floor. The bedhead had a missing panel, the bed runners on the bed were dirty with food stains/scraps, the exhaust fan in bathroom was dirty and dusty. Tea cups were dirty and sticky, the kettle still had water in in.The shower rose was hanging down and couldn't be tightened to stay upright, Hubby did a quick fix with cable ties.The room had no instructions on how to ring concierge, so we rang from our mobile. Although someone was sent within 10 mins to fix with some gaffer tape, hubby had already come to the rescue. The shower has no door and became excessively wet with no mop to clean up, towels and bath mat had to be used. This can be hazardous.
The hotel has failed in attention to detail as the shower rose should have been fixed when the room was being inspected after last checkout, teacups washed etc, kettle emptied.
The room was quite expensive and a disappointment.
