"In an attempt to beat all the tourists to Plitvice Lakes, we decided to drive up the night before and stay at the Plitvica Lodge so we would be one of the first to the park when the park opened at 7am. Hotels.com has the hotel listed at the incorrect address (Plitvice Selo 71/3 did not route correctly) so we got lost at 10pm - basically in the middle of nowhere - and thankfully had an international phone plan to call for directions, but roads are not well marked. "Really appreciated the in floor heating in bathroom. We spent a cold rainy day in the park and this felt great on our return. Restaurant close by was very nice, great service there. "

"Very nice site and friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately the site is remote with no walkable footpaths and you are therefore reliant on a shuttle bus for everything. There is not even a convenience shop on site."

"We wanted to be close so we could get an early start to see the waterfalls and lower lakes. The staff was so helpful in helping us plan our stay and get everything done. We decided to stay and have dinner in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with a very nice dinner. Breakfast was also very nice. "

Looking forward to coming back

"We spend two nights at a room for a couple. The breakfast was excellent, the staff attentive and polite, the room was clean and well maintained. Plitvice national park is a short walk away so we could enjoy the nature without having to start the car during our stay. We are looking forward to our next visit when we need a break in the nature."

"The Staff was fantastic. They were so helpful with tips about visiting the park - which was beautiful- and we had great service in the dining area. The food was delicious- especially the dinners. We ate there both nights of our stay - it was so convenient. Just make sure you have cash for the meals at checkout. They don’t accept credit cards. "
