"The ocean view makes up for any shortcomings, however the shower hose is awkard and only gives a relatively low pressure. There's an accessible lift to avoid the steps if you have a pushchair, wheelchair or heavy luggage but noone expains that this in in the basement area so you end up lifting heavy luggage up steps and slopes. Lovely pots have no plants in, so creates a neglected first impression and there's no bedside tables. "

"This was a good location. I stayed here with my mom. We found it convenient to walk into downtown from the hotel. I was happy that there was free off street parking. That was the deciding factor me in the end. The front desk provided excellent service. Every question I had, they were gracious and helpful. There are a few cosmetic issues - peeling plaster or paint in the shower in one room and a broken bedside light in the other, but the nice location and parking lot parking mattered WAY...

"This does appear to have once been a grand hotel, but it has since been neglected. While the entrance area and staircase still look impressive, the room was in poor repair, with a dated 1980s/90s feel. However, it was spacious, with a Nespresso coffee machine and two BBC English channels. The breakfast room was grim and the food average. Overall, too expensive for the poor quality. The hotel desperately needs money spending on it."

"Stayed here with some friends in town for a conference. Location is far enough from city centre that you feel like you’re really in a residential area but it’s also only a 10 min walk to downtown. Tramline is even closer and there are two grocery stores nearby. House has a great kitchen with just about everything you’d need to cook. Loved the set up with two bedrooms upstairs, one on the middle floor and one on lower floor. The two bathrooms, plus laundry, were added bonuses for 4 people there...
