When I contacted the host with questions a few days before our stay they got back to me quickly. "We stayed at this property with our 3 kids for a long weekend of skiing. The property exceeded expectations. It was clean, warm, location was fantastic and the pool was icing on the cake. Even when the kids were tired from skiing, they jumped right in the pool. They slept well each night. We went to Bittersweet for skiing but the cute family-run ski hill down the street (Timber Ridge - 2 miles away) had an AMAZING snow tubing hill that we went to the night we got there. It was so fun. "The cottage is very cute and a great place for a solo vacation alongside a lake! Everything needed for cooking is available in the kitchen, and plenty of room in the fridge for groceries needed on vacation. I was able to use the kayak available, and it was on a small rolling cart so was easy for me to pull it just down the street to the public launch. "We love this spot and will come back, either in the Fall to sit around the fire on the patio or next year for Blueberry season. The stars at night were lovely. You're close to Douglas/Saugatuck and can enjoy all they have to offer but return 'home' for quiet evenings and mornings (with a lovely rooster next door). The goodies were much appreciated!
