A converted barn cottage located on an equestrian farm in rural wales. Just north of the Brecon Beacons national park and nestling in the folds of the hills. The cottage has a cosy wood burner and everything you need to enjoy tranquility and rest.
The cottage is made up of a open plan kitchen and lounge with a cosy log burner to keep you warm and plenty of books and games to keep you entertained in the evenings. Downstairs is also a small shower room. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The beds are made super sumptuous with 'Baavet' duvets (made in the UK, 100% British pure wool filling) and John Lewis luxury mattress toppers for an extra comfy nights sleep. Please note: the upstairs is accessed by a spiral staircase, therefore those with restricted mobility may not find this accommodation suitable.
The farm itself is open to you to go for walks. There is a wonderful view of Pen-y-Fan from the top of the farm and plenty of wildlife to see with red kites and buzzards constantly circling up and down the valley. We also have woodlands - ancient, deciduous and conifer and a stream flowing along the lower border of the farm all of which you are welcome to explore.
The Cottage sits in the main farm complex in the end of the main barn. You have your own access and come and go as you please. You can bring your car to the front door of the Cottage if necessary.
Hugh is the farm owner, lives in the main farm house opposite the cottage and works on the farm during the day so he is available most of the time and is happy for you to knock on the door if you have any queries, need some help or would like some more wood for your log burner!
There is a laundry in the barn that guests are welcome to use. The barn can also be used for drying and storage of bikes etc.
Wood is supplied free of charge for burning in the cottage stove.
The farm is home to 5 horses 5 chickens 5 rare breed cows 4 ducks 1 cat and a dog.
