The location is just far enough from the tourist spots, yet easy to head there on foot or by transit. The hotel was quite, the room comfortable, and the breakfast outstanding. The only issue was having intermittent WiFi disconnection, which was a bit annoying.

Hotel was Ok for a short stay. Not as easy to get to from the train station as it seems. In a rundown part of town. However the breakfast was nice and had onsite restaurant.

A very clean and comfortable room. Most of the staff were friendly- some of the restaurant staff were a little abrupt. Delicious breakfast with a live omelette cooking station. Not far from the city centre - a 30 minute walk, but there is a bus stop close by with a range of buses all running at regular times.

Friendly stay in Bratislava
Nice, friendly place, with good breakfast and spacious rooms. Some of the rooms are on the noisier street side - if you find the traffic disturbing, be sure to ask for a back side room. Tram and bus stops nearby; good value place to stay.

This is a lovely hotel conveniently located around the corner from the railway station. It's not near any shops or restaurants although it does have its own restaurant and is an easy walk to the Old Town. Rooms were very nice, the included breakfast very good. They have air conditioning via quite a noisy standing unit. The only drawback was terrible internet service. Very weak signal that kept crashing. Hard to do a FaceTime call and I couldn't stream video on the laptop. Others at breakfast had the same complaint. If they could fix this, it would be an ideal spot to stay in Bratislava.

It was all good. Only slight issues were that we thought we'd ordered a double but got a twin. Not a huge deal and we didn't bother complain. Secondly, plugs next to the bed would have been convenient. I have a CPAP machine so need it by the bed. We asked for an extension lead but they were unable to provide one. On the other end, the restaurant was a hit, the staff were lovely and the room felt like it had real character. Excellent value.

Would not recommend in summer as not air conditioned. Able to open the window but the traffic noise was unbearable, not to mention the insect bites! The breakfast was ok but the room unbearably hot. Stay away in summer!

Hotel was on an extremely busy main road with a lot of noise and exaust fumes. We had to keep the window closed whenever we were in our room. Hauling our luggage up the very steep ramp to the hotel was a challange. There was no airconditioning. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was ok, however only choices of whit bread available. Room was clean and tidy.

Hotel on rugged road in an old district
Walking with big suitcase from the train station to the hotel was not easy cos the pavement and flyover were rugged. This was not the issue of the hotel, but it affected my overall experience. The hotel was very clean though old fashioned in an old district, not old town. It's quite noisy as it's on the main road. I had to close the window. There's no air conditioning. I had to use the fan in the room. I think I will take a bus instead of train to Bratislava next time and choose a hotel in a new district.

We chose the Matysak because it had great reviews and is close to the station. The staff were friendly, the rooms were large, spacious and well-equipped, and the breakfasts were great, including hot dishes as well as the usual range of cold options. The croissants were especially delicious! I would love to give the hotel 5 stars, and I certainly would stay there again. But I have to point out a couple of issues. First, the room safe was broken and dismantled. The front desk said that was deliberate, because it was one of the safes that had been malfunctioning. If you have malfunctioning equipment, you replace it, you don't just leave it. Two lights were not working but those got fixed after I reported the problem (thank you). The wifi was too weak to use in my room, except really close to the door, down on the floor. Although the room safe and wifi problems prevent me from giving 5 stars, overall I was very satisfied.

夏の猛暑の時期に宿泊しましたが、 エアコンが無かったので、夜は窓を開けて寝ました。どうにか寝れる温度ですが、ホテルが幹線道路沿いにあるので、朝5時過ぎ位には激しい交通量による騒音で目が覚めてしまいました。 それと、これはエクスペディアの評価が悪いですが、駅からとても近いと思ってホテルまで向かうと思ったより時間が掛かります。駅距離1〜2分でイメージしそうですが、実際には10分以上確実に掛かります。15分程度のイメージで向かえば誤差はそこまでないです。 後、換気が良くないのかお風呂一帯がカビ臭かった。 しかし、コストパフォーマンスという点から考えれば昨今の物価高を踏まえれば優秀。安く済ませたい人にはむいてます。
