5/5 Excellent
Comfortable, could use more attention to detail
"We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Brisbane hotel! The location was quite convenient. The staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. We were able to check in quite early after our arrival which I really appreciated. We had a delay from the airport to the hotel which only increased our tiredness after an overnight flight. The first room was not well prepared for us, and was not well maintained (damaged carpet, surfaces not properly cleaned, dirty desk chair), so we asked to move after a night or two. The cleaning seemed rushed and without as much attention to detail as is the expectation at any hotel, and particular one like the Mercure. Increased attention to detail could have made the experienced better. The first room was also right off the elevator and quite loud at times. We were moved without a problem. The second room was a much better experience for us and also had a better view - overlooking King George Square (The first one was looking out to another tall building). The pool hours were not particularly convenient, so we did not use it before we left. The gym was available, yet small considering the size of the hotel. I appreciated the locker room area, however. Restaurants and public transportation are incredibly close. Would I stay there again, absolutely. "
