"Very central hotel. Secure underground parking (for additional cost). A rather lovely traditional hotel with some lovely art deco elements. Spacious room at the front with balcony overlooking the stunning former market hall. However, this is currently undergoing extensive renovation. Great. It will be really beautiful I think. The building site is well managed. Work doesn't start until 07h45. No annoying reversing warning bleepers on the site vehicles. All good. Except, it was not...

"Overall, this was good. But some comments: Advertised as Adults only. It wasn’t. That does not mean the children who were around were a problem - they were not. We suspect the hotel has been modernised. And reasonably well too. But nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels, no fridge, no tea/coffee facilities. But the staff were also very helpful (even though very little English was actually spoken despite being advertised). But we got through with their helpfulness. "

"We booked a "superior twin room" for this stay, which turned out to be a large suite on the first floor of a large, old stone mansion. Huge bedroom with a good heat pump, along with a frigidly cold bathroom and similar frozen sitting room. There's a large shared veranda at the rear as well. This would be 5-star accomodations in the summer, with the high ceilings and spacious surroundings. But only the bedroom itself had heat in the cold February of our visit, and we caught colds there during...
