"We really enjoyed our week at this property. Our boys loved the pool and spent many hours regardless of the weather. The pool table wasn’t quite as they’d hoped as it didn’t sit flat, but they still played a game or two. We didn’t try the bikes as one had a flat tyre. It’s very rural, surrounded by farmers fields including vines. So peaceful, especially at night. The stars were amazing. Host was great, very easy to communicate with. There was a great house guide including lots of places to visit. If you are looking for a week of peace and quiet with a pool, this is the place for you."

"We stayed for a night. The exterior looks a bit rundown but the apartments are great. Everything works, it’s well equipped and clean. There’s also an elevator which is a major plus. Daily continental breakfast for 11 euros - honestly it’s too expensive for what they serve. You have to bring down your trash upon check out and clean the kitchen if you used it. Overall a nice stay."

"Our stay at Robert’s house far exceeded our expectations. The house is truly beautiful and it was well equipped for our large party. The pool area was a welcome relief from the heat and the shaded area meant we could use it even at the hottest part of the day. There are many beautiful towns around but the house was so nice we found it hard to leave! Robert was a pleasure to deal with and he made a point of not being intrusive but was always available if we needed him. I would have no hesitation recommending this home and hope to visit again soon."

"This is a beautiful gite in rural Charente-Maritime. It's close to some really pretty towns and to a number of excellent swimming lakes. We are family of six (grandparents, parents, two children) and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for all of us. It's really child-friendly with exclusive use of the pool, ping-pong table and a wide variety of games and toys. Everything in the gite is of really high quality (towels, linen etc) and the kitchen is well laid out with a wide range of crockery, cooking utensils, glasses etc. This is a gite in which you really can cook easily for a large family. Everything you need is there. Liz made all the arrangements which were clear and simple. She and Bones were welcoming and friendly throughout. We have been staying in gites for over 20 years and have never before stayed in one so beautiful and so well-equipped. We all loved it."
