"Cheap price, but price definitely reflects the accommodation. Ripped curtain, stains on the floor, fridge with microwave ontop of it, room smelt like some one had just warmed up a bowl of soup. Bathroom tap faucet broken, no iron or ironing board, no cups, hand lotion in a tiny tube but no hand wash. Bed was comfy and clean sheets and towels, shower worked fine. If you are purely bothered about a place to sleep and not concerned about any of the other things that come as standard in most hotels...

"Ideal location for exploring the Peak district Property was spotless, nicely furnished, well equipped kitchen. Availability of Netflix very nice touch. Property advertised for up to 10, but would think it could be a bit of a squeeze unless several of party were small children. There were 6 of us and it was perfect size"

"Good for the price, basic room with a bit of decay in the property but perfectly clean. Close to town, room 6 that I was in was on the main street so was quite noisy from road noise etc. Not the hosts fault and it's close to town so what you would expect. Close to the canal which was a nice walk in the day. Felt safe and other occupants were quiet."

"A beautiful heritage estate of large proportions and character. The history was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb. A beautiful country setting with beautiful views of the river and farmland. Well equipped rooms, with all appliances you could ever need. Rooms were cosy and warm. We loved using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Highly recommend and I would love to stay here again, given the opportunity."
