You will have to manage a few tiny comfort issues like no shower, the cushions on the living room furniture were worn to the point you are sitting in the frame, there were spiders (harmless) everywhere. "Wonderful cottage in a great location with which to explore the Cairngorms. The cottage itself was clean, bright, easy to find, and had everything you could need. Check in was easy and the owners were very helpful and communicative. Most everything you could need is in Ballater, a couple of miles away, including a grocery, petrol station, health center, and a number of restaurants and pubs. "This property was exactly as expected and really good value. The location is lovely and really convenient for hiking, mountain biking and all the area has to offer. Ballater is very close (less than 10 min cycle). Interior is exactly as in the photos. Plenty of space for boots, coats etc. Comfortable beds with lovely linen. "

"The property was clean and comfortable with all the facilities expected. The garden was spectacular with red squirrels, rabbits and plenty of wildlife. The collection of books and artworks in the house was much appreciated. This is not a property if for those wanting flashy or ultra modern but it is a fabulous place to stay to enjoy the Cairngorms."
