Price was excellent for one 11’x12’ room.
Bathroom was across the hall and shower a little further down another hall. Neither were an issue.
Two windows appeared to be single pane that buffered little sound as they fronts the busy street through this small town.
Downstairs was a bar that also served food. However there is also a covered patio area that was below the Bonnie & Clyde room and 20’ away. Several loud men sat outside for quite some time.
Internet/TV never stayed connected more than a few minutes and the small window unit cycled with a myriad of sounds.
Even at the price,…probably wouldn’t stay in the Bonnie & Clyde room.
There were other rooms across the hall and on the other side of the building that might allow for a good night’s rest.
A definite gem full of character within it's walls. I talked with the owner's brother for a while as he told me the story of the place. Its amazing what has been done to restore this hotel to transport you to a time gone past. Excellent customer service and a really great experience overall.
I love old buildings and nostalgia. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. The people are very friendly and genuine older people who have character. We very much enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if our travels take us back to Brady, TX.
It had a coffee shop, good prices. The hotel itself is really old and run down. The room that the man charged us for wasn't the same room I had picked out. He said we double booked, but I did everything online, therefore, the fault lies with them. It smelled of cigarette smoke and mildew, and the couch was gross looking. I wasn't a fan due to morning sickness. Overall, not great, probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay here. It was very quiet which worked well for my job. Theres a bar in the hotel that serves food. There is also a restaurant connected to the hotel that services breakfast and lunch items. I was in Brady for a wedding, but if I ever go back I'll definitely be returning to this hotel.
Trucountry Inn was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They wanted to make sure we were comfortable and tending too. I recommend this place 100%. If we are ever in Brady Texas again I will be sure to stay there again. We have also told others how wonderful this place was.
we arrived at 5 PM and the room was not cleaned yet, the online add said private bathroom and the bathroom was down the hall shared by everyone on the side, since the room was not ready and there was not a bathroom in the room we did not stay
Fun, historical hotel and very helpful staff. Having no elevator was a slight issue, but they changed our room to the downstairs room and we were all set

Lovely old building just off the square in Brady,
Extremely nice owner who is struggling with getting this place in shape. Bar was closed for renovations. Our first room the keyed lock didn't work. The 2nd room was OK. Two window air cons which kept me awake most of the night. Roach on the floor in the "kitchen" and a cricket in the cupboard. It's an old building so we expected some issues. Twenty stairs to get to the 2nd floor and no elevator. We had booked the "Elvis" room but they switched us to another room, and then another. Owner complained about not being able to get good help.

When we arrived, there was no one in the lobby. After 10 minutes, 4 other customers arrived. We all waited an additional 15 to 20 minutes for someone to come check us in. One of the other waiting guests located a # to call. The hotel custodian Amber (who was very kind and helpful) came to the lobby. She had to call someone to get us checked-in.
When we were shown our room, we discovered it had no toilet or shower in the room, they were communal down the hall. Fortunately, there was an available room with a bathroom & shower in the room. We were charged the difference for the room price (paid in cash per their request).
On the up side, our room was the Willie & Waylon room. It appeared to have been recently renovated, was very clean, nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. It also had comfortable couch with 2 recliners and large screen TV (about 65" to 75").
If you like antiques, you will enjoy the lobby and the hallways.
All of the rooms are only accessible via one or two flights of stairs, depending on which floor your room is located. With hands full of luggage, it was a bit of a challenge to navigate.
It was an interesting place to stay and reasonably priced, but a one and done visit for us.
The only thing that could be improved is the parking on the weekends. Seems like the bar and banquet guests get most of the parking lot if you come back to the hotel late. Leaving parking on the street as only option.
