As soon as we opened the door to our room we were hit in the face with a smell that I can only describe as cooked broccoli that has been sitting on the counter for 2 days. I immediately opened the window and turned the air conditioner fan on full-blast but it didn’t help. I asked the front desk if we could change rooms and there weren’t any available, but he gave me a can of air freshener. I immediately started looking for another hotel to move to but everything was booked. We made it through one night, but couldn’t stand the smell any longer so thankfully found a new hotel to move to for the remainder of our trip. Other things to note: water only got warm, not hot, and there was very little water pressure. My son wanted to take a bath but it would have taken hours to fill the tub. The bathtub still had hair in it when we checked in. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
I do have to say that the staff was kind and respectful, and the manager did refund my remaining nights when I told him we couldn’t stand another night there. While I was at the desk 2 other people came by to complain.
Hopefully big changes are made at this property—I feel bad for anyone who doesn’t have the option to leave.
