Perfect location
My husband and I rented this unit for our 30th wedding anniversary and we cannot be happier with our decision! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, or to the free trolley bus stop…no need to move the car if you don’t want to. The apartment was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. My only recommendation is that the mattress needs to be changed and the coffee maker requires Keurig coffee cups and the ones left at the apartment, were from a different brand so we couldn’t use the coffee maker. I think that considering the price we paid, coffee should have been provided. But, we still had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful beach and sunset. We will definitely come back!

Just Right!
We loved this place. 3 high school girlfriends turning 60 came for a long wknd. Walked to restaurants/bars/beach days. It was all just lovely. Cleaning lady and neighbor became part of our friend group and had a blast. We would rent this place again.

Biggest complaint, no closet, at least a rack of some kind could be laced on the wall. Need a dry mop to run over the floor. The ad said you step out the door to the water which made it sound like it was the gulf, and it was a block to the bay.

Great location and nice place!
Eleanor was great about communicating with us and following up on any questions we had. The bungalow is small but has been updated and is in great shape. Having the pool area to hang out in was an added bonus and gave you more space. The place is in a great location. The bay is a few houses away with wonderful views and the beach is about a block away. There are a few restaurants in walking distance and a Community Center with winter activities.

Great Location on AMI
This property actually has 4 separate units on one lot. The bungalow that we stayed in was very clean and well maintained. You are only a couple hundred yards to the beach. The property is about halfway between the Cortez bridge and the Manatee bridge. It was easy walking distance to everything on the central part of the island. When we return to AMI on future trips, we will probably be staying here again. I can't recommend it highly enough!.

Cute, clean, convenient cottage on AMI, but...
The cottage (one in a group of four cinderblock shotgun homes) is recently updated, clean, and conveniently located on the bay side of AMI and within walking distance to the beach. However, a couple of things to note before you stay: 1. The cottage really isn't equipped to handle four people. The second sleeping area is the main room on a very uncomfortable sofa bed, and because the front door has no screen or privacy shade on the transom, anyone walking by the front door can look right into the "bedroom." The parking is located three feet from the front door, with the path from another cottage to the parking and the pool right in front of the cottage, so this does happen. We made it work for our late teen/early 20s kids with some posterboard over the transom, but it's not ideal. 2. Each afternoon and evening we stayed, there were groups of 12-20 people at the pool until 10:30-11. Because the cottages are so small with only enough room for ~4, we assumed the other cottages had been rented out by groups hoping to take advantage of the pool for parties. The master bedroom of this cottage shares a wall with the pool area, so it was LOUD. We let Eleanor know of the situation halfway through our stay and after that the volume was turned down after 9:45 p.m., but we were unable to use the pool at all during our stay. Eleanor was responsive during our stay but has not yet reached out about these comments, which we sent to her privately immediately after our stay.

Cute cottage, but
Loved the location. It was very clean, however the sofa bed was broken and the mattress was super flat to a point of sleeping on the springs which made for a very uncomfortable 6 day vacation. The kitchen was missing some essential equipment. Other than that the cottage was super cute and close to the beach. If the sofa bed is replaced we will surely return.

Spring vacay
Nice little place for 2 people. Clean and in a good location. I enjoyed coffee by the pool each morning it was nice and peaceful. We had a family emergency and had to cancel after the refund date, Eleanor was helpful and kind we received full refund and were able to reschedule.

Really Nice but....
Very good place for a couple to stay. Clean, lots of space, close to beach. BUT....TV only streaming--no live TV! Only reruns of B-grade shows. Internet Sl-o-o-o-w--dial-up speed and dropping out constantly. Expected some "modern conveniences" at 400 bucks a night.

The location is great, and the unit is cozy and well kept. The rest of the property, however, is not great. Loose pavers everywhere, screen doors not working great, pool area run down, etc. Worth it being so close to the beach, but not a great choice to hang at the unit and pool.

A little bit of paradise
We wanted to get away for a long weekend and waited until Thursday(the day before) to find something reasonable and relaxing. My husband went on line and booked within 30 minutes. We weren't 100% sure what we'd arrive to and were extremely surprised and thrilled. Clean, well decorated with everything current..a block from the beach, within 30 minutes to everything we chose to do. We met Elizabeth who is the caretaker/ housekeeper for the 4 cottages. Such an angel and proud of what she does. She spoke highly of Eleanor the manager and also mentioned the owner is just as nice. We are looking forward to plan a return trip with our kids and their families. G&L

Just what the doctor ordered!
We had a vacation booked to California which was cancelled due to a health scare. Came home from the hospital and we needed to recuperate at the beach. I found this cottage not far from the beach with a private pool. It was everything that was advertised. Newly renovated, clean one bedroom kitchen and bath. Short walk to the beach. Quaint neighborhood. Parking enough for us. 3 other units. Loved the pool it was cooler than the gulf. Easy booking, checking and check out. Highly recommend. My husband feels well rested but still recovering. Thanks for helping us get some vacation in!

Wonderful stay

Simply Adorable! Perfect little gem.
My husband and I along with our teen daughter were delighted with this decorator dream. So tasteful and clean. The neighborhood was fun to stroll around and gorgeous beach access is a 2 minute walk. It’s small, no doubt but very comfy. Pool and shared covered patio were added bonuses. It was wonderful to open the door to a rental that was fresh and bright and very homey. Property owner was pleasant and check in a breeze!
