2BR Slopeside Disciples Village #691 - Amazing Ski In/Ski Out on Boyneland!

Welcome to our Lower Unit #691 - an awesome two bedroom condo right on the Boyneland ski slope! You can literally walk out your front door, take ten steps, put on your skis, and ski down to the Boyneland chairlift. The best part is this lift runs seven days a week and has night skiing. Then, when you are ready to warm up, simply ski back directly to your patio from Boyneland.
There is a king bed in the master bedroom. In the second bedroom there are two queen beds. The living room also offers a very comfortable queen sofa sleeper. This allows this 2 bedroom, slope-side condo to sleep up to 8 guests! Need more space? Ask us about renting this unit and the 3 Bedroom/ 3 Bathroom condo above it (unit 690) for a condo that could sleep 20!
A couple unique things to note: There is no land line in this unit so please make sure you have a cell phone with you. As a lower unit, and with normal Northern Michigan temperatures, this unit does not have air conditioning. The condo also has quite a few steps to get up to it, as it is the King of the Hill, and located directly on the slope! With multiple units that are in nearby buildings, we are also able to accommodate multiple large groups, family reunions, or even corporate retreats.
To share a little more about the resort: Boyne Mountain is a skier's paradise offering the best skiing and boarding in the lower peninsula. Boyne Mountain is known for an abundance of groomed runs, half-pipe, and tubing park, where experts and beginners are equally delighted as Boyne Mountain can accommodate your needs. Lessons and rentals are available for all ages at the main lodge. Tickets for Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands are interchangeable.
Not tired yet? Boyne Mountain also features the largest and best indoor water park in Michigan: Avalanche Bay. Whether you are searching to cool off or warm up, laugh and enjoy your vacation while you slide, splash, surf, or soak until you drop. Call Avalanche Bay for ticket pricing and for Daily Pool Pass information.
Boyne Mountain also offers plenty of dining choices located near the main lodge, just a short walk away. There is full dining at Everett's, Erickson's, Forty Acres Tavern, The Beach House at Deer Lake and the Apres Ski Pub. If you get hungry or thirsty on the slopes stop in at the Eagle’s Nest for a bite or just to warm up. Pizza and sandwiches are available in the Trophy Room or have it delivered directly to your condo. Relax with cocktails in Everett's Bar or enjoy the nightlife at the Snowflake Lounge, Trophy Room or the many other great restaurants in Boyne City, Petoskey or Charlevoix.
Not to be forgotten, Boyne also offers ten world-class golf courses, both on-site or within 30 minutes of your next amazing vacation getaway! At Boyne Mountain you can enjoy the Monument and the Alpine. At Boyne Highlands are the Donald Ross, Arthur Hills, the Moor and Heather courses. The Bay Harbor Golf Course offers the Links, Preserve, and Quarry. All courses are open to the public. A golf shop is on site at Boyne Mountain for all of your golfing needs.
Fall is spectacular in Northern Michigan. Come for a week or long weekend of color-changing foliage and breathtaking views. Whether you choose to golf, mountain bike, or hike away the day - you will feel recharged and make amazing memories!
Other Area Attractions include:
Mackinac City is just an hour drive from the condominium where you can take in a day of shopping, dining, and sight-seeing. Drive across the Mackinac Bridge into the Upper Peninsula, or take a ferry over to the Historic Mackinac Island where you step back in time. Boyne mountain is located 5 1/2 hours from Chicago, and about four hours from Detroit.

Last Minute Trip
We booked this property for a last-minute family of 4 ski trip. Location is wonderful and unit was stocked with everything we needed. I'm not sure if we missed in the description or it wasn't mentioned but to access the unit required approx. 30 uphill steps to carry luggage. This was not a big deal for us, but something people should be aware of. Beds were a little hard, but could be personal preference. Very happy with our decision to book and would stay here again.

Perfect time of year and very comfy place!
The condo was clean and nice and had everything we needed. We walked around a bit and the property is beautiful. And we were so close to Boyne mountain, the Sky Bridge, Boyne Falls, Lake Carlevoix, lots of restaurants and nature.

Fit the whole family
This basement condo for our family of six very well for a two night stay. Would be a tight squeeze for a lengthily stay with one bathroom and no kitchen table for meals together. Worked great as a place to stop while touring the area and neighboring towns. I failed to read the description carefully and was disappointed when we realized that access to the swimming pools at the resort were not included. You can pay for a daily pass. We just wanted to use the hot tub one evening but didn’t want to pay $15 per person for an hour in the pool. If you want to go up the chairlift, you will need to purchase tickets for that as well. We were planning on walking the SkyBridge anyway, so we had access to the chair lift for the day we went up to the bridge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the condo was a good fit for our short vacation.

Very nice condo with lots of good amenities (pictures are very accurate). Only negative is hearing upstairs unit’s occupants walking noise and dog barks. Communication with owner/management company wss excellent!

Great in/out. Stayed in lower unit.
Weekend skiing. Was an in and out on boyneland run. Easy to get to the hill but needed to climb steps to runs. Based on pictures thought we would be able to be right on the hill not climb 10-15 steps to get to the hill . Also steps to unit not adequately represented. A lot more stairs than shown inpictures at least twice as many. Lastly pull out couch not the best.

Process was very simple and the agent was extremely accommodating to our request for an early check-in. Only negative: pull out bed was broken. Front end falls down word so you have to sleep with it locked into an elevated position which isn’t comfortable. There is literally one mirror in the entire condo so with several adults trying to get ready in the morning you have no option but to all crowd into one bathroom. Lighting is horrible. Harsh overhead lighting and then one weird floor lamp for the entire living space

Good communication, but not as listed.
The communication with the property manager was prompt and thorough which was much appreciated. The listing says it is a “lower unit” which we learned meant basement. We could hear the people above us the entire time. It also stated that “10 steps out the door” was the slope, which is inaccurate. You have to walk around the place and up a hill to get to the slope. The exterior pictures are of the condo that is the upper unit for the most part. Not what you will be staying in if this is what you book. The place was very clean and well equipped and check in and out was a breeze. Just not quite what we thought it was going to be.

This is a lovely condo. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook as far as utensils pots pans etc. Nice bedding and pillows. Large bathroom with shower only. The only downside is that the renters above us sounded like they were hosting a gymnastics meet/frat party. When this persisted after 10 pm I did contact the property manager who responded immediately and the other party did settle down. There are a lot of stairs up to this condo. We were fine but this might not be feasible for certain individuals.

Winter weekend stay
Location was very convenient to the Boyneland slope but entrance to the condo was on the front side and there were stairs to climb to get up to the back of the property where the slope is located. This is a basement unit with minimal windows so not much natural light. If you have a large group the common space can feel small, we were glad we packed extra chairs. Wifi is high speed and dependable. TVs were good and in every room. Only one bathroom but large. Pull out sofa bed was not comfortable but fit two adults ok. If you are planning to spend most of your time on the slopes this is a great place but I think I would prefer the upper unit that faces the slope directly. Also, there is room for additional cars and seemed to be no enforcement of the 2 car limit. Dog friendly with pet fee. Probably 20+ stairs to get to the unit from the parking area but much less to reach the slope from the unit.

Ski fun
We had a great stay! As others mentioned, there are quite a few stairs to navigate to get to the place. The another 10 or so up around the back to get to the slope. There is not any slope view from inside this place. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and huge. The kitchen was stocked with a griddle, blender, crockpot, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans plates, mugs, glasses, bowls, silverware, etc. it would have been nice to have some plastic cups. My kids are too big for supply cups, so we didn’t bring cups, but they are iffy with glasses. It made me a bit nervous. The fridge was nice and clean. There are plenty of hooks to hang coats and ski pants. The biggest miss was a table. The bar seats 3, yet they place sleeps 8. I’d suggest providing a folding table perhaps to help provide a place so all can eat together. Overall we had a great stay!

Fantastic Location
We really enjoyed our stay. Fabulous ski in/ski out location. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable with nice bedding and all the necessities. The only downfalls for my family was that being a lower unit it had limited outdoor views and the noise of the people walking around above was sometimes pretty bothersome. Overall, the location and coziness made it a great place to stay!

Outside allearance and maintenance needed. Inside outdated and in need of repair. Tiles had chips and beaks in it, furniture scarred and in poor condition. Not as clean as expected. Just not up to our standandards or as pictured on website.
