"I have been here a few times over many years. It is absolutely at its best now! Stayed in a 'garden' room, which was excellent with a peak at the lake through the trees. The restaurant was a delight with an excellent menu and beautifully prepared food at dinner and breakfast (i loved the kippers). Staff were all exceptional. I'll be back. "

"The property was lovely, a little dated, the staff were lovely,beds very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, evening meal first night was really nice, the 2nd night wasn't as good, was told it was a different chef Sunday. The spa was very nice, used the sauna and steam room, the Jacuzzi and the pool. In fact the spa was really Christmasy but the hotel was rather poor with the Christmas decorations, overall I would definitely stay again."

"You definitely get what you pay for. Fabulous customer service before our stay and the Receptionists were all extremely helpful and welcoming during our stay. The Seduction Suite was fantastic and the addition of Breakfast served at a time to suit ourselves was a great extra as otherwise we maybe wouldn’t have bothered. Would definitely stay again and hopefully will look into the Hideout house next time. The discount in the Fizzy Tarté for us was a great bonus too as we spent far too much money in there, but when it’s so much fun, along with a discount then who cares ! It was our Christmas present to ourselves so what a fabulous start to Christmas. "
