The building is amazing, spiral staircase, old fashioned bell pull and giant key locks. The rooms tastefully in keeping with the half timbered style whilst still managing to host all modern amenities. The breakfast selection was outstanding and uniquely informal. "Beautiful two bedroom apartment in an old house with private entrance and outdoor dining patio. Perfect for a couple or small family as there is only one bathroom. Gorgeous gardens and flowers with private gated parking. Very close drive to wineries or tasting rooms as well as area Chateaus and villages. No food onsite but Grocery store within 3 kilometers for use in the full kitchen. Bottle of local wine was a nice Welcome gift. Owners/managers couldn’t be nicer. Great base for Chinon area...

"We spent a lovely few days with Jean-Phillipe and Michelle in this very tranquil and beautiful part of rural France. Jean-Phillipe had some local wines available to sample and also has a BBQ that can be used and a games room. The swimming pool was very clean and everything very well maintained. It’s a short drive to Saumur where there are shops and restaurants and activities such as bike hire. Would recommend."
