Rustic Alpine-Style Apartment for up to 6 People
Village (Arc 1950):
ARC 1950, the ski village where the residence is located, was built from 2004 by the Canadian entrepreneur "Intrawest" who specialized in luxury ski condos in exclusive winter resorts like Whistler and Mont-Trembling. The traditional rustic design of ARC 1950, a mix of rock walls and wooden beams, typical of French Savoy, surprises the visitor who might remember monotonous concrete blocks in old French ski areas of the 70s. The atmosphere of a romantic village with its cobbled streets, its old lamp posts, its colourful facades with wooden balconies is completely pedestrianized and transfers the guests into the charming flair of the good old days when children could play safely in the streets.
Ski sport shops, bars, restaurants, a traditional French bakery and a small supermarket can be reached on foot in only a few minutes. In addition, the village offers ski rental, ski ticket office, ski schools and nursery nearby. There is free access to an indoor heated swimming-pool. For adults, a modern spa offers a heated pool, massages, facials, manicure and pedicure (www.deepnature.fr).
Underneath the residential buildings there is an underground car park where you can leave your car safely (parking fees approx. 119 € per week). From there, you have direct walking access to the residence building.
Our Residence "Refuge du Montagnard":
The ski village consists of 8 buildings with different decors. Our apartment is part of "Refuge du Montagnard". In the basement of this building there is a sauna, hammam (steam bath) and an outdoor jacuzzi, all are reserved for the exclusive use of the residents of this building. There is also a heated ski locker room with two lockers for our apartment. From there you have direct access to the ski slopes with two large modern chair lifts (ski-in, ski-out) to the Les Arcs skiing area.
Ski Slopes:
Arc 1950 is located in the ski area of Les Arcs, which consists of the ski areas Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 2000 and Peisey / Vallandry. Since 2003 an express cable car with a capacity of 100 people connects "Les Arcs" and "La Plagne" and offers a ski area called "Paradiski" with more than 420 kilometers of pistes.
