"The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the room very quiet (double-windows and blackout curtains). The hotel amenities are really good. The location is great, right next to the river and within walking distance old Lyon, the opera, Croix Rousse. There's also a large choice of restaurants around."

"The location was very central and ideal for what we wanted to do - restaurants, shops and transport to museums all very close by. Breakfast was very good, rooms and bathrooms were a generous size and very clean. There is one lift though which can get busy, and staying over the weekend with a room overlooking the main square meant it was noisy with the windows open, but to be expected for a central location and a lovely characterful building. Good value for money in general."

"Beautiful hotel. Eco Friendly, Swimming pool, spa and steam room for guests. I also had a massage which was well priced and a decent massage. Restaurant on premise is very nice . Only a short walk to the sites and short uphill stroll back but everything with in 20 mins walk and so peaceful and relaxing. Right next to the Roman ruins. Great part of town . 8 min walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. 30 mins down to river. I would stay here again. Great spot"

"We had a lovely experience at La Phenix Hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was spectacular with a view of the Rhone and a fireplace. It was in a fabulous location in the old part of the city. I would definitely stay here again next visit to Lyon."
